Rogue Trader GM (GM): well 3 people
wait karma’s HERE
Shino G.: it’ll be four
Rogue Trader GM (GM): why isn’t he HERE HERE
Shino G.: when karma gets here
Shino G.: hello i am here
MysteryGuy: i am here hello hi here i am hi hello hi
Shino G.: i asked karma to get in here np
Harbinger: but I’m right here
Jerrick Kamris: this is all wrong
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Excellent
okay no Karma for now
Jerrick Kamris: no he’s here
he’s just not showing up
on the list
for some reason
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I
Mordecai: yeah he JUST said something
Harbinger: but I’m right
Mordecai: there it is again
maybe i’m crazy
The visage of the God-Emperor of Mankind stands before you in the little tunnel from the hanger of the Titans. Instead of the famous golden armour, he wearing a robe of ancient cotton over his perfect frame.
Only the flickering of the image betrays its artifice.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): GAME START
Danielle Seamus prostrates herself as is her routine whenever confronted with the image of the Master of Mankind.
Tormak is unsure of how to act before this.
Por’la Kel’mara is too.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick also prostrates himself, thankful he no longer has eyes to be burned out by the majesty of the Emperor, even if this is only a hologram.
Danielle Seamus: After completing her supplication, Harbinger rises, confident of the image’s status as a… replica, at least.
Mordecai cannot help but kneel before the Omnissiah of the flesh, even knowing its artificial origins.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Should you be a citizen of my Imperium, know this; to step forward would be the gravest of crimes. The sight of-” The image, disappears, to be replaced by a monotone voice. “REDACTED BY ORDER OF FABRICATOR-GENERAL PSO RHODAN, M31.769020.” The image returns, the Emperor looking faintly stern.
Danielle Seamus: “………………………….”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Hmh.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…”
Emperor: “Know this, if ye should be servants of Mars; under the Treaty of Olympus, my Imperium you are under also. Your superiors have already been notified on your transgressions.” The image disappears again. “SITE OF FURTHER HOSTILITIES DURING [REDACTED] SCHISM. ALL MECHANICUM PERSONNEL UNDER ARCH-MAGOS/PRINCEPS-GENERAL RANK MUST REPORT TO THE NEAREST EUTHANASIA CHAMBERS.”
The image flickers out for good, revealing a blank featureless tunnel below the image leading downards.
Jerrick Kamris: “Well,” Jerrick says after a moment, breaking the silence. “That doesn’t sound good.”
Danielle Seamus: “That answers some questions I was not seeking the answer to.”
“And raises far more in kind.”
Mordecai: “If only we had time to hypothesize.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Heading on in then?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You stepping onto the hole?
Mordecai: “If what were are looking for is anywhere, it is down there.”
Por’la Kel’mara : Hup.
Mordecai: Brave Hero Kelmara diving into the unknown with mordy
learning from his barrowventures
Danielle Seamus: “Yes, we must hurry.” Danielle agrees, her feet remaining firmly planted in place.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you can feel a faint, magnetic tug at your implants as you throw yourself into the abyss.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick sighs, looking back at the door, then to Dani. “We’ve already come this far. We may be branded as traitors and heretics for this, but… If we don’t, the Imperium itself may fall.”
Por’la Kel’mara : also all this tech is really cool
i gotta see it ALL
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara, you feel the sensation of terminal velocity.
Mordecai: i was ALREADY branded a heretic
Danielle Seamus: “That’s absolutely right, Kamris.”
Mordecai: heretek even
Danielle Seamus jerks her body a bit, but stays in place.
Mordecai: Can I grab Kelly
Por’la Kel’mara reflexively grabs onto Mordy, the stoutest pilla
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Sure.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Give me a strength or agility check.
He’s pretty light!

Por’la Kel’mara : and a carbine!
Mordecai: and breather thingy
Harbinger: and a CAR- yes
Por’la Kel’mara give s abrief rollercoaster yell at being dragged down
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick takes a step forward, hesitates for a moment, and looks down. “…You still don’t want to do it, huh?”
Mordecai: Gonna get ready to grab anyone else that comes barreling down
Danielle Seamus: Dani just sort of scrunches her face, beads of sweat forming all over.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (pushherpushherpushher)
Harbinger: (that would work)
Mordecai: push her with your telekinesis
while pushing it
Jerrick Kamris: “Right, then.”
(i was GETTING to it i had to open a book)

Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick casually waves a hand, and an unseen force shoves Dani into the pit. He pauses for a moment, smirks, and steps in after.
Danielle Seamus: “Oof!”
Harbinger starts falling, though at least she’s moving herself voluntarily again.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai grabs both of you as fall.
Danielle Seamus: “I-I-I-I-I disobeyed the Emperor.”
The hole eventually widens out into a cavern bigger than most hive cities. You can see the bottom of the martian installations breaking through the planet’s crust, including the Titan hanger you were just in. Below… is a graveyard of Titans.
Mordecai: lets loot it
Harbinger: Ork Looted Titan incoming
Por’la Kel’mara : “…How do we get these out.”
Jerrick Kamris: “We’re going to be doing a lot more of that before the day is through, I’m sure.”
You can see dozens, perhaps a hundred of the glorious avatars of the Omnissiah littering the cavern flaw. Many of the models seem to have far too many spikes for Imperial models, though they have taken a far greater beating. The centrepiece is an Emperor-class Titan, an entire hive support strut impaling it into the earth.
You can see a single dot moving; the rest of this spectacle is as dead as a tomb-world.
Por’la Kel’mara : “H-hey, there’s something moving there!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You’re going to be falling for quite a while, Mordecai. Where do you want to go?
Danielle Seamus: “By the Emper-” Danielle stops herself as she gazes out at the breathtaking scenery.
“There are some lines I promised even I wouldn’t cross…”
Por’la Kel’mara : “It seems a shame that these machines sit here uselessly rather than serving your Imperium. Or any purpose. What a waste.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you feel your fall speed up as someone grunts and grabs onto you. “The warriors are dead, xenos. Let them rest.”
Jerrick Kamris: right we still have that guy
Por’la Kel’mara : oh god i’m being choked out by the astartes aaaaa
“Oh, they are people in the machines? I assumed they were like the Battlesuits; they simply climbed out.”
move toward the moving dot
Por’la Kel’mara declines to comment about Ravithoth just in case it makes an angry Mareen.
Mordecai: “Moving in on what the xenos sighted.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): AS you fall, you ascertain what it is: it’s a moving Titan, a small one. http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/cb20110410112027/warhammer40k/images/a/ac/Warhound_Scout_Titan.jpg
Mordecai: “Not all is dead, it seems.”
Danielle Seamus: “Who would be operating a TITAN down here?”
Jerrick Kamris: “…We may wish to steer clear of it, regardless. We are intruders here, and it’s likely to shoot us on sight.”
Mordecai: “I should think no one should be operating anything down here, but I cannot say anything for certain.”
Danielle Seamus: “Well, maybe it would have a good reason for shooting.”
Mordecai: “Shall we make for the Emperor-class, or touch down and assess the scout?”
Danielle Seamus: “: /”
“We can’t take that thing. Most of this planet is actively hostile to us. Avoid the active Titan if possible.”
Mordecai: Nod and make for the Emprah-class Titan.
it’s the biggest, that means it’s the boss
Rogue Trader GM (GM): On it, or at its feet?
Mordecai: on it, if there’s a place to land
Danielle Seamus: That would be up to Mordecai’s discretion.
Mordecai: we’ve seen moving titans on the GROUND but not on other titans
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You can land on the temple-like steeples on its top. You land with a soft clunk on top of one such temple-structure, around 20m tall. You can see the symbol of the mechanicum on them, only someone’s painted it a far more blood red than they should be.

rolling 1d100 v 83 admech lore on that symbol junk
Danielle Seamus: Harbinger clambers down from Mordecai’s machinator array, unsteadily getting her footing on the titan.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There are maintenance hatches dotting the structure. Down below, you can see the support strut that impales the creation.
Mordecai: I’ll go try to open a hatch while I think about that.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The hatch shows some considerable sign of rust.
Danielle Seamus: “Battle-Brother Skaldr, you know a lot about… war, right? How do you imagine this epic machine-spirit was felled?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): He pauses, staring around. “I have fought little with the Legio Titanicus, but from the way it kneels, I would say the building impaling it laid down the final blow. Something about it smells, though.”
Danielle Seamus: “And what force could cause an Emperor-Class Titan to become impaled to begin with…”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Weakened armour. Its void shields would have to fail. I do not know.”
Harbinger: time to deal with the new boss, A Rusty Hatch
Por’la Kel’mara : get it, mordy
rolling 1d100 str checkin
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You bust it open.
Mordecai: Mumble some prayers to the machine spirits. “We should learn more inside.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Inside, you are immediately confronted with corpses- or the remnants of them. Rusting mechandrite holding ancient weapons and other cybernetics litter the ground in what looks like a bridge.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick makes the sign of the Aquila, muttering prayers under his breath as well, before entering.
Danielle Seamus: “And this is perhaps, the smell.”
Jerrick Kamris: ^^^^^^
Mordecai: Do any of them look functional
Danielle Seamus: “Well, maybe we’ve caught a break on weapons and equipment, finally.”
rolling 1d100 vs 82 another psyniscience now that we’re inside the titan
Mordecai: “Assuming they are operable. Kel’mara, you are to help check.”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick
you’re detecting sparks of something.
Jerrick Kamris: “…Something here is angry.”
Por’la Kel’mara : 1d100 vs 76 looking for functionable weaponry and armor
Mordecai: “I hope it is not at us, but I could not blame it if it was.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “It seems the reasonable conclusion.”
Danielle Seamus gasps sharply and a wisp of smoke betrays her uneasiness, but she continues to scavenge the site.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara, you find three weapons and a collection of what looks like 4 Haywire grenads.
Mordecai: i love wepon
Jerrick Kamris: wapons r gr8
Rogue Trader GM (GM): In addition, you find some sort of turbine-powered pack on the back of a rusted metal seat.
Jerrick Kamris: oh man
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It looks like, if it worked, it could allow the user to jump up very high indeed.
Some sort of jump-pack.
Danielle Seamus: yoink
Por’la Kel’mara : “Here we go. It’s a bit beat up… but they’re working.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The weapons… give me a tech-use I guess Mordecai
Danielle Seamus: “This is familiar technology…”
rolling 1d100 v 93
Rogue Trader GM (GM): +10 and -20 >_>
YOU GOT THEM BOTH
Por’la Kel’mara : imagine needing to roll for tech use tho
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara recognises one of the weapons straight away with no roll either.
Mordecai: oh god is it filthy xenos tech
Por’la Kel’mara : yesss
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you’re looking at an archeotech plasma rifle.
Danielle Seamus: I can now use my seraphim talents again hooray
Por’la Kel’mara : @________@
Mordecai: Venerate this shit.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There’s no vents you can see; the weapon appears to require no ventilation or recharging.
Kel’mara, Mordecai appears to be very excited over a Pulse Rifle.
Por’la Kel’mara : “I wonder how a Pulse Rifle got here…”
“I’m glad you finally recognized how nice thye are though!”
Mordecai: “What do you mean?”
Danielle Seamus: “Hold your tongue, xenos. That is clearly priceless Imperial archeotech.”
Mordecai: “This is a most sacred piece of archeotech, indeed, the finest plasma rifle I have ever laid hands on.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Phased Archeotech Plasma Rifle Basic 150m S/3/4 2d10+3 E 4 36 Half
Por’la Kel’mara : “Well, it does have the Imperium markings, yes, but… the essential workings, look at the construction… Why are you hiding your greatest technology away on this planet?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The other weapons Kel’mara does not recognise.
Mordecai, they’re Catalytic Mass Drivers; one heavy model, one basic.
Mordecai: “Catalytic Mass Drivers. We have some formidable arms now.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The weapons work on the same principle as Tau railguns, but with rapid fire and with much happier machine spirits.
Danielle Seamus: I’ll try testing out the jump pack a little to see if it works.
and if it needs anything like fuel, maintenance, etc
Mordecai: “Astartes, can you make use of this?” I’ll offer that dude the heavy catalytic mass driver.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): He swings it over his shoulder with no apparent effort. “Of course, metal man. It weighs little more than a dragon.”
Danielle, the jump pack appears to have a small amount of fuel in it. Prolonged use in inadvisable.
Danielle Seamus: Got it.
Mordecai: I’ll see if any of the bridge equipment is possibly operable.
Danielle Seamus: I’ll take the basic Catalytic Mass Driver because well
I’m not proficient with any of these weapons
Mordecai: might as well
no one else can really do much with it
Danielle Seamus: but more importantly don’t HAVE any other weapons
Mordecai: you have
Jerrick Kamris: i still have a bolt pistol and a power sword so im good
Danielle Seamus: dangit jerry
Jerrick Kamris: best quality~
Mordecai: i have a best quality power klaw and an archeotech plasma rifle~

Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
Danielle, you estimate the jump-pack has maybe half a minute of activation left.
rolling 1d100 v 32 searching
Mordecai: you did it
Rogue Trader GM (GM): In addition, its quality is such that you get a +5 to any charge attempts while the pack is active, and may attempt to knock-down the target and anyone else within 1m of the target as a free part of the charge.
Danielle, you find a ladder leading down further into the beast.
Mordecai, you find an active data bank.
Danielle Seamus: neat
Let’s see what kind of data is on this sucker
“Surprising, an operable data bank.”
Por’la Kel’mara : Eagerly look over Mordy’s shoulder.
‘save the world what i found all this cool tech’
Mordecai: “Maybe it will shed some light on this holy titan’s fate.”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick stands off to the side, not having much to do.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The screen is blinking. One word is written out.
Mordecai: “There is a CHANCE that is not referring to us.”
Danielle Seamus: “…uh huh.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I CAN HEAR YOU.
Danielle Seamus: “!”
Mordecai: You’ll need to speak in quotes
Danielle Seamus: “…that’s probably just a coincidence.”
Mordecai: “I see.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “..What sort of internl defenses would this have?”
Mordecai: “That chance is dimishing.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 10,000 YEARS. 8.76581 TO THE EXPONENTIAL OF 7 HOURS. I HAVE SAT HERE AS A PRISONER OF THE SERVANTS OF THE CORPSE GOD. SO LONG TO SEETHE. SO LONG TO HATE. AND YOU. STROLL. RIGHT. IN.

YOU CANNOT DODGE THEM ALL. I WILL TAKE MY TIME. SAVOUR THIS.
The screen winks out.
Mordecai: “…Less impressive defenses than I had thought.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I believe the machine spirit is angry with us.”
Mordecai: “We must be on guard regardless, of course.”
Danielle Seamus: “That’s not a defense! You should know that!!”
“That shouldn’t have even been able to happen!”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Nevertheless…”
Mordecai: “See how that argument goes when you are being electrocuted.”
“Whatever we are dealing with, we must be on guard.”
Jerrick Kamris: “We’ve broken into one of the most holy relics in the entire Imperium. I do not think I’m willing to tell it what it should and should not do.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I need a -30 willpower roll from everyone. An extra -10 if you have cybernetics of any kind.
Danielle Seamus: “You may not remember what tech-heresy looks like, Kamris, but I do. That had Dragonus’s hallmarks all over it.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): warp-based defences apply.

Jerrick Kamris: im trying to figure out what all would apply
Mordecai: also astarted bro
Rogue Trader GM (GM): resistance psyker probably
Mordecai: resistance(psychic bs)
Harbinger: bastion doesn’t unless it’s an explicit psychic power iirc
(To Mordecai): You are very sure a STC of considerable value must lie at the heart of this Titan.
Harbinger: I think that’s it for astropath unless I’m blanking on something
rolling 1d100 vs 41 well okay
Jerrick Kamris: and still fail
(To Tormak): You are very certain technology that could revolutionise the Tau Empire is at the heart of this machine
Danielle Seamus: save us skaldy
(To Danielle Seamus): You are very certain Dracul must lie at the heart of this machine.
Mordecai: “…I feel we must reach the center of this Titan.”
Danielle Seamus: “Agreed.”
(To Jerrick Kamris): You are very certain Dracul lies at the heart of this machine.
Mordecai: “There is doubtlessly an STC of considerable value being guarded.”
“Moreso than OTHER STCs.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “It only makes sense: The center of all things… The heart.”
Skald: “…Is there? Would not your brothers have found it before?”
Danielle Seamus: “And even if there’s not, Dracul should be there.”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick nods in agreement with Dani.
Skald: “He IS?”
Mordecai: “It could have been overlooked, this is a highly guarded area.”
Danielle Seamus: “…they’ve been barred from coming down here as well, you saw that.”
Danielle Seamus nods sagely.
Skald: “Hmph. Perhaps.” He looks at you all oddly.
Danielle Seamus: “Let’s move.”
Mordecai: tO ThE LADDER
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Aright.
Danielle Seamus: We advance down the ladder, beginning to make our way to the Heart of the Titan.
Por’la Kel’mara : h-u-p
Jerrick Kamris: hup
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The ladder leads down to a corridor. One side you’re pretty sure leads outside to where the support strut that impales the titan is, the other deeper into the machine, where the atmosphere of Mars has preserved the galaxy’s oldest oil slick.
Danielle Seamus: DEEPER WE GO.
Mordecai: INTO THE HEART OF THE BEAST
Danielle Seamus: Oh right continue to keep my eyes out for any armor as I’m still wearing a potato sack.
Mordecai: haha same
Jerrick Kamris: heh same
Mordecai: i’ve been polishing the heck out of it tho
Jerrick Kamris: oh right
rolling 1d100 i should put up a shield tho
Danielle Seamus: “Okay, and… there we go. Dracul is surely not too much farther from here. Ready weapons.”
Mordecai: PLASMA RIFLE READY
Jerrick Kamris: BRAIN READY
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Who’s in front?
Danielle Seamus: eh let’s push jerry in front for once he actually has AP
Por’la Kel’mara : readyin’ the carbine
Jerrick Kamris: well
Mordecai: I’ll bring up the rear
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick, a panel falls open in front of you as the same trick as before is attempted.
Jerrick Kamris: oh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): This time it’s not aimed at you, however- the cable is falling towards the oil puddle you’re all standing in.
Jerrick Kamris: …oh
Danielle Seamus: oh that’s not gonna be good
can we react in time to do anything
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick can!
Danielle Seamus: we’re doomed
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Whoever’s in the back can also dodge out of the way.
Mordecai: hope he paid the rapid reaction yax
Rogue Trader GM (GM): No, he has one action he can take.
rolling 1d100 see you suckers later
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I see
Mordecai: oh god i didn’t dodge
Jerrick Kamris: i have quick draw can i draw my sword and chop off the cable before it hits the oil

Rogue Trader GM (GM): Sure.

Mordecai: oh no it was a load bearing cable
“We must be getting close.”
Danielle Seamus: “A trap laid by Dracul, I’d wager.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…Perhaps,” Jerrick says, frowning at the severed piece of cable.
Skald: “…I am worried. This stinks of maleficarum.”
Danielle Seamus: “‘Perhaps?’ Of course it is, don’t lose your nerve now, psyker.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright.
Jerrick Kamris: hup
Mordecai: poor skaldy
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You reach a pair of double doors as you descend. A simple wheel rests on it. In High Gothic, it says ENGINE ROOM on it. Or it did, as someone has defaced it with ‘SUBJUGATOR CORE’.
Perhaps the name of the STC?
Mordecai: “Subjugator core, so that is the long lost STC hidden here.”
Danielle Seamus: “Can’t lose our nerve now.” Dani backs up against the double doors in a clearing position. “Everyone ready?”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Always. Mostly always.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You back up how?
Mordecai: Level plasma rifle at the door.
Danielle Seamus: Shoulder against the right door’s hinges.
Weapon up, ready to kick it open if it swings away from me.
Or pull it back with my right hand and strafe in if it comes toward me.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Danielle
Danielle Seamus: Or just move if it opens from side to side-
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Take 5 wounds to your body, only stopped by TB
As you are horribly scalded.
Danielle Seamus: joak’s on you I don’t have any armor
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The door appears to be very hot!
Danielle Seamus: “Haaaaaaaaaaaaa! Hothothot!!”
Jerrick Kamris: “…We may be headed into an inferno.”
MrInsecure: (sorry, I’m here)
Mordecai: just in time
Danielle Seamus grips her first-degree burns tightly.
Mandala Sigyn: (I see I missed at lot)
Por’la Kel’mara : “The core’s power is so strong that it heats the doors. Mmm… how to advance.”
Mordecai: “A shame I lack my normal equipment.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Give me a -30 willpower roll Mandala, extra -10 if you have any cybernetic implants.
Mandala Sigyn: Resistance (Psychic) help at all?
Jerrick Kamris: (yes)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (Yeah)

Mandala Sigyn: (…I have Scintillating Shroud)
(and a personal gellar field)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (those work!)
(If you’re wearing the gellar field anyway)
(And didn’t leave them on the ship)
(before Eldar shenanigans)
Mandala Sigyn: (it’s my best armor, of course I’m wearing it)
Por’la Kel’mara : (#based not-slave-team)
Harbinger: (that means a +0 WP test will ignore this outright)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mandala, everyone seems really focused on getting to the middle of the Titan.
Mandala Sigyn: “Guys, we need to stop. I sense a warp taint at the core of the titan- I suspect it has been demonically possessed.”
Danielle Seamus: “Dracul’s doing, no doubt. We have to stop him before he gets any further!!”
Mordecai: “So we must reclaim the STC from warp abominations.”
Skald: “…Oh. I see now.”
Mandala Sigyn: “…Has it been instructing you to go down there?”
“Are you listening to demon voices now?”
Danielle Seamus: “Careful in your insinuations, Sigyn.”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick frowns. “But he’s so close…”
Mandala Sigyn: (who is Skald?)

Por’la Kel’mara : (the astartes we saved thta was w/ the fire caste tau)
Mandala Sigyn: (oh right)
Por’la Kel’mara : (rip)
Mandala Sigyn: “Astartes, you can back me up on this, can’t you?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick, a VERY STRONG psychic signal is beyond the very hot door!
Mordecai: DRACUL strong?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “They have been possessed, mutant. We may need to kill them. Then burn the bodies.”
Mandala Sigyn: “And none of you have environmental protection- you’ll be incinerated if you go in there.”
Jerrick Kamris: “There is a very powerful psychic presence behind this door.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Sure Jerrick
Mandala Sigyn: “Possessed? No. Influenced? Perhaps.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick, that should be enough.
Give me a -20 willpower roll to shake it off.
Mandala Sigyn: “Get your terminology correct, Astartes, the distinction is importance.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Any influence is possession. Their wyrd is tainted!”
rolling 1d100 vs 81 i just checked and i actually have +20 against warp stuff for being an astropath
Danielle Seamus: “From where I’m standing, you impeding us when we’re so close to Dracul is what raises *my* suspicion.”
Jerrick Kamris: …last
Mandala Sigyn: welp
Jerrick Kamris: well
Mordecai: rip fate
Jerrick Kamris: i got it
(To Jerrick Kamris): Wait why would Dracul be in the engine room burning alive
Mandala Sigyn: “Why would Dracul even be here?”
Harbinger: that’s not warp stuff that’s explicitly DAEMON stuff
we don’t KNOW this is a daemon
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It’s
it’s a daemon
Jerrick Kamris: well REGARDLESS
Mordecai: but how would they know
they were the daemons
Jerrick Kamris: i passed it
Por’la Kel’mara : i mean isnt dracul a sbad as a daemon at this point? checkmate
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick pauses, frowning, and shakes his head. “I…” He looks to the door. “Why would Dracul be in a burning engine room?” he says quietly.
Danielle Seamus: “You two can prattle on all you want. I’m going in,” Danielle declares.
Mandala Sigyn: “You’ll be incinerated!”
Jerrick Kamris: “He is not here, Seamus.”
Mandala Sigyn: “That’s what it wants, people to sacrifice you to itself!”
Danielle Seamus: “!” Dani’s eyes widen. “You too now, Kamris?”
“His tendrils are everywhere…! I should have known. Should have known coming down here against the Emperor’s wishes was trouble!”
Jerrick Kamris: “Use your brain. Think. What would Dracul even be doing in a defunct Titan? What he seeks is not here.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Yeah, he wants a C’Tan Shard. It wouldn’t even fit in here!”
Por’la Kel’mara : ((brb one sec food))
Danielle Seamus: banking on dani using her brain
Jerrick Kamris: (actually it probably would)
Danielle Seamus: a gutsy move jerry
Mordecai: yeah we saw the shards they aren’t that big
Danielle Seamus: well they’re *big* but this is a TITAN
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Danielle, jerrick’s prodding is giving you a roll at -20 (cybernetics etc)
unless you want
to make a logic rol
to see if jerrick convinces you
Jerrick Kamris: it’s a gamble but either you do shake it off or you go into the burning room and kill yourself, win-win for jerry :D
Danielle Seamus: god why
Rogue Trader GM (GM): IT’S UP TO YOU
Danielle Seamus: uh the backdraft will likely kill us all
Jerrick Kamris: …right there is that
Mandala Sigyn: Yeah, you’re getting warp-eyed if you move for the door again
rolling 1d100 v 73 HOW DO YOU USE LOGIC, SIR
Jerrick Kamris: welp
rolling 1d100 v 73 sure let’s fate, what’s the worst that could happen
Rogue Trader GM (GM): hey jerrick’s making a lot of sense
for a Dracul mind slave
Danielle Seamus: “…………..stand down, Genetor.”
Mordecai: “It is imperative I retrieve this STC, especially in light of recent events.”
Por’la Kel’mara : (back)
Danielle Seamus : *bonk*
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Bonk?
Danielle Seamus: “Don’t retrieve one STC by compromising the safety of another. You told me something like that once, didn’t you?”
Por’la Kel’mara : “To ge tthis close to lost technology and *not* try to claim it seems just… just as wasteful as the rest of this planet. Must we be that way?”
Danielle Seamus: I bonked him on the head with my fist
not as an attack
as a bonk
Por’la Kel’mara : rip mordy, attackbonk slew him
Mordecai: it would be more effective if i could feel pain
glorious feels no pain mutation
“…I suppose I do lack the tools necessary for safe retrieval at the moment.”
Danielle Seamus: no one deigns to convince the Tau and just drag him along despite his protests
Mordecai: Sling him over my shoulder
Danielle Seamus: “…let’s head back to the previous juncture.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Then we should secure it to ensure that it will be okay!” /feeble protests aaaaghhh i’m so weeaakkk
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The structure shakes again.
Mandala Sigyn: “Or we can just incinerate the whole thing with holy prometheum.”
“That would be the preferable solution.”
Danielle Seamus: "I don’t think incineration’s going to do much for whatever’s in *there*. That it hasn’t already done, anyway.
“Not to mention, the backdraft would likely kill us all by the Emperor what was I trying to *do* there?”
Mordecai: “What is that shaking NOW?”
Danielle Seamus: “Wait, the AI. RIGHT! THE AI!”
“Hahahahaha oh now I remember.”
Mandala Sigyn: “…Didn’t we destroy that thing?”
Mordecai: “AI is tech-heresy of the highest order.”
Danielle Seamus: “New planet, new tech-heresy, new AI. Or something indistinguishable from the last.”
Mordecai: “It is all heresy.”
Danielle Seamus: Let’s try moving to the previous juncture, the one that led out to the impaled spine of the Titan.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): As you leave back up, you can see severed cables forming into letters.
Por’la Kel’mara *siiiiiiiiiiiiigh*
Rogue Trader GM (GM): AI? NO. NOTHING ARTIFICIAL.
The cables undulate into different shapes, spelling HATE over and over.
Mandala Sigyn: “Oh yes, this is some all-natural heresy right here.”
Skaldr: “Sarcasm ill-suits a warrior.”
Danielle Seamus: “It can be both!”
Mandala Sigyn: “It’s a good thing I’m not a warrior, then,” Mandala says, checking her sunrifle.
Danielle Seamus: “Gen… genetor!” Danielle pants as she keeps strafing through the corridors. “Where would the Princeps for this monstrosity be located?”
rolling 1d100 some kinda lore
argh like 1 dos
on admech lore
Rogue Trader GM (GM): http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111218225423/warhammer40k/images/8/81/Emperor_Titan_2.jpg did I show this alrady
if not there you go
Por’la Kel’mara :
rolling 1d100 v 66 hehehehe admech
Mordecai: its a castle
a walking castle
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you’re pretty sure the princeps was one of the mechandrite-corpses you saw on theb ridge!
Por’la Kel’mara : that picture is amazing
Mordecai: “The princeps was likely one of the mechadendrite corpses we saw on the bridge.”
Mandala Sigyn: (what’s a princeps?)
Mordecai: some admech rank
Danielle Seamus: (it’s the special designation of the only people in the galaxy that can operate a Titan, they’re nearly one-of-a-kind)
“That… can’t be right. Where could it be controlling everything from, then?”
Mandala Sigyn: “The core. Is. A. DEMON!”
Harbinger: (“what’s a demon I only know about daemons”)
Mandala Sigyn: (shut it)
rolling 1d100 vs 82 psyniscience again where are the daemons
Mandala Sigyn: (*DAEMON)
Mordecai: “Perhaps it was the engine room? That was not its natural state.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick you’re still detecting the giant psyker energy source
from the engine room
Jerrick Kamris: o
Danielle Seamus: “So we just walk back into its trap? Into that blazing inferno that burned me just from touching the door?”
“I don’t if anyone’s noticed, but half of us are wearing potato sacks.”
Mordecai: “Or we leave it.”
“It has likely been placed down here for a reason, else it would have been destroyed, I should think.”
Skaldr: “A most dangerous monument.”
Danielle Seamus: “…no. I’ve already violated the God-Emperor’s edicts by coming down here, I won’t let a daemon engine continue to exist as well in such a precarious situation. What if Dracul somehow leverages it?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Or we can try to overload it remotely. I mean, it’s still hooked up to the rest of the titan, right? That means we could probably set it to self-destruct.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “You’ve have to be a fool to keep it.” He mutters something about ‘or be an Inquisitor’.
Mordecai: “Hm. Mandala’s idea has merit.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): And then starts muttering about silver knights.
Danielle Seamus: “Genetor. Try to see if you can self-destruct that thing from the bridge controls.”
Mordecai: “Though if we could escape the blast radius is another question. I will see what kind of reaction it will be.”
Mandala Sigyn: “We’ll need to run when it happens.”
Mordecai: CHECKING THE CONTROLS
Danielle Seamus: “Kamris, you’re on Plan B. Can you search the equipment lockers for engine suits?”
rolling 1d100 techuse or something
Jerrick Kamris: “I’ll have a look.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you can detect some sort of failsafe, but it requires princeps access to activate.
Danielle Seamus: “It’s an Emperor-Class Titan, they should have some heat-resistant equipment.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Your sanity, and purity, may be in peril if you attempt it.
Por’la Kel’mara : Thank goodness we found the princeps.
Mordecai: Let’s go search that Princeps guy
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You find his codes easily enough.
Mordecai: I’m ALREADY a heretek
Danielle Seamus: not in your HEART
Rogue Trader GM (GM): But they must be entered through MIU.
Jerrick Kamris: finally
Danielle Seamus: are you going to give in
well let’s see if Jerry comes up with anything
Jerrick Kamris: someone ELSE gets to interface with the dangerous mind corrupting thing
Danielle Seamus: then we’ll force Mordecai to get corrupted if he can’t
Rogue Trader GM (GM): alright, Jerrick.
Mordecai: “…This will likely not leave me untainted, search all other available options.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You can find one working engine plate suit.
If someone enters the room, they’ll enter alone.
It will also not fit Skaldr.
Jerrick Kamris: oh boy
Danielle Seamus: there goes Plan C
Mandala Sigyn: “Oh! Let me put that on. I have the ability to conquer demons.”
(To Danielle Seamus): I dare you to mention Fawks I dare you
Mandala Sigyn: “Fairly easy, anyway.”
“I mean, if six chaos marines couldn’t stand against my holy fire, what could?”
Danielle Seamus: “Well it doesn’t seem like it will fit Fawkes- err, Skaldr anyway. But…”
Skaldr: “The heart of an Emperor-class traitor Titan?”
Danielle Seamus: “A daemon engine is a completely different league from even marines.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I will force it out of this plane of existence. Do not fear.”
“However, I’ll need someone to hold my weapons.”
Jerrick Kamris: “You’d probably be more effective than I would be, at least.”
Danielle Seamus: “I… you’ve got twenty minutes, Sigyn.”
“After that, I’m directing the Genetor to blow the engine.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “… Don’t forget to save the tech you find!”
Mandala Sigyn: (fortunately, I actually bought Resistance (Heat) and (Cold))
Mordecai: “I am ‘rooting’ for you, Novator.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Please. O
*I’ve faced worse odds.”
Danielle Seamus thinks it better to bite her tongue.
Harbinger: owwww now my tongue tastes like teeth
Mandala Sigyn: “What? At least it doesn’t have a blank field like those necrontyr monstrosities.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The bulk and rigid construction of the suit is a hindrance
to movement, imposing a –10 penalty to the wearer’s Agility
for all purposes, and a further –10 penalty on all tests reliant
on fine manipulation using the gauntlets. However, the thick,
heat-resistant layers of the suit means the wearer is immune
to Flame weapons, counts as AP 10 against other Energy
Rogue Trader GM (GM): weapons, and gains a +30 to any tests made to resist adverse
environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
JUST SO YOU KNOW.
Danielle Seamus: “Kamris. Mind Link with Sigyn. Keep us appraised.”
Mandala Sigyn: (neato)
rolling 1d100 fettered mind linkin’
just made it
Danielle Seamus: well that’s a -10 to dodge tests but those immunities are a good tradeoff
Mandala Sigyn: “Alright. Let’s do this.”
Jerrick Kamris: linkin’ us all up
If it can hear us, it might be better to communicate this way.
Mandala Sigyn moves back towards the core. Alright, folks, take cover- the backdraft is gonna be a bitch.
Danielle Seamus: …assuming it can’t hear this as well.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You clank back down to the engine room. You can clumsily, but surely, open the core.
There is indeed a backdraft of flame and steam. Give me a toughness test, +40 due to your bonuses.
Mandala Sigyn: (including Resistance (Heat)?)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yeah
Any damage you would have taken is absorbed by the plate. Now, the face of your foe is revealed.
Harbinger: I sure hope Mandy is Fearless by now
Mandala Sigyn: am I? let me check
The creature-machine is three stories in height, a purple walker bound in cables and runes still fresh as the millenia they were painted binds its carapace. Two snapping claws work as you approach, and it lazily levels a scorpion-tail weapon towards you, as big as a Russ-mounted lascannon. You came back.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (Fear 3)
(if you’re not fearless!)
Mandala Sigyn: (Hey, I am Fearless)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (whew)
Mandala Sigyn: “Came back? This is the first time I’ve been in here.”
“Perhaps your memory is addled from years of bondage?”
Daemon: House Sigyn has buried its past, then? You are not here to rescue me after all. Then I shall have to break free myself. A pity. You were always good servants.
(To Danielle Seamus): what doss Danielle think about Mandala
Mandala Sigyn: “My House was slaughtered by the servants of Chaos, wretched creature. I have no desire to entreat with you.”
(From Danielle Seamus): She’s a dangerous mutant with a savior complex.
(From Danielle Seamus): And a heretical xenos-lover.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Betrayal is always paid in full. Even after 10,000 years. Do you know what your Inquisitor thinks of you, little mutant? Dangerous. A saviour complex. A threat to be eliminated one day. You have no allies to fall back on. You could have one in my mistress.
(From Danielle Seamus): there’s also ‘reliable and stalwart’ but those aren’t necessarily what you were looking for
(To Danielle Seamus): INDEED
(To Jerrick Kamris): what do u think about mandala?
Mandala Sigyn: “Ah, you are a daemon of the Prince of Pleasures. And I have seen the value that Chaos places on its servants- if you’re hoping to entice me by telling me that you’ll be more faithful to me than the Inquisitor, then perhaps you’ve been drinking a bit too much coolant.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): We are always loyal to servants who do what is required to them. We do not serve the fate-weaver. And I notice- you did not accuse me of LYING. But if you will not be swayed. so be it. 10,000 years. 10,000 years stuck in this hole. I will ENJOY this.
(From Jerrick Kamris): “eh” SOMEone’s gotta navigate
Mandala Sigyn: “It matters not if you lie. My faith is a shield against your heresy.”
“Too long you have stayed in darkness- it is time I show you the light.” *WARP TORCH*
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Give me a -20 perception test.
As soon as you think of attacking, you are assaulted by a barrage of sensations, both pleasant and painful.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You manage to not be stunned by it. Warp torch activates.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It cannot dodge.
Mandala Sigyn: (it’s a contested wp roll)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Oh right duh
ignoring toughness and armor
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The creature is enflamed.
It does not appear particularly put out by it.
Mandala Sigyn: (oh wait, I didn’t need to spend Fate, I have Strong Willed)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Well. I hope you can do better than that.
Are you going to try and move out, or into cover?
Mandala Sigyn: Cover, if possible, since I know it has beam weapons and such
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There’s a small piece of plating that you can crouch behind.
Harbinger: (I don’t think Strong-Willed applies to Perception just Willpower)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (Will let it slide this once, but yeah)
Mandala Sigyn: (oh right, sorry)
(nah, I spent the Fate, it’s cool)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The creature follows up by firing on full-auto from its tail.
Ten blasts tear apart the area around you.
Jerrick Kamris: tail laser phenomena
Mandala Sigyn: “This is the best Chaos can do? Pathetic!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Each one looking like it hits as hard as a las cannon blast.
Danielle Seamus: “Well she doesn’t sound dead in there yet…”
Mandala Sigyn: Sorry guys, in a bit of a rough spot, here.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mandala!
Jerrick Kamris: Would it be possible to provide long-range support?
Mandala Sigyn: Can my “heavy flamer” reach?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes.
Mordecai: You have my moral support, at the least.
Mandala Sigyn: No, you won’t be able to get in a good shot without exposing yourself to the heat.
alright, Immolate the Soul
rolling 2d10+4 pen 4, not sure if it adds any from corruption
Mordecai: theres probably SOME corruption
Mandala Sigyn: daemons don’t count as corrupted
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It does.
Mandala Sigyn: oh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): But the attack is entirely soaked by its 26 AP.
Mandala Sigyn: +4 per 10
Por’la Kel’mara : R-I-P
Mandala Sigyn: DAMN IT
Danielle Seamus: We may be able to assist in another way, however…
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The anti-titan weapon does not appear to be phased by your flame.
Danielle Seamus: “Genetor, is there any way you can manipulate the core that doesn’t involve jacking yourself and using the Princeps codes?”
Mandala Sigyn: Curses, this thing has too much armor for me to easily pierce. I’m gonna have to wear it down slowly.
Danielle Seamus: (*jacking yourself in)
(eh that still doesn’t sound not funny)
Jerrick Kamris: (mordecai are you jacking on in there)
Mordecai: Is there any way
Are there any DEFEnsE SYSTEMS in there
Jerrick Kamris: maybe some SPRINKLERS
Rogue Trader GM (GM): No, Mordecai, as far as you know only the princeps is granted that access as a fail safe measure. If the daemon engine had its full attention, you’d be attacked as soon as you jakced in.
Danielle Seamus: hey but it DOESN’T
Skaldr: Mutant, does that creature have claws?
Mandala Sigyn: Yes, how did you know?
Well, they’re more like pincers, but anyway.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I have seen such a creature before. You are foolhardy. Back up as much as you can, they can tear through baneblade armour!
It does not, Danielle.
Mordecai: Keep its attention if you can.
For my sake.
I’m jackin in
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You are pretty sure you will still have to be in contact with the crreature, mordecai.
Mandala’s antics have only limited your exposure.
Not eliminated them.
Mordecai: well i have armor of contempt so
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright.
You jack in to see a giant purple flame with a thousand phantom limbs.
Do YOU have fearless?
Mordecai: hahaha oh my no
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Oh wait Barrow’s in the room technically
Rogue Trader GM (GM): carry on
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You can see a sword of red hanging above the flame. It’s held up by a small tendril.
Danielle Seamus: carry on my captain aura of courage
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The tendril stinks of corruption.
Captain N. Barrow: “Do a good job and maybe I’ll give you an apple when you finish making more.” captain’s +10 for mordey
Mandala Sigyn: I’m behind cover, and I have no desire to back down anyway. This thing says it had a previous relationship with my House- if so, it needs to be wiped out, to expunge the taint on my lineage.
Mordecai: What kinda system things can I try to muss with in the engine room
anything besides ‘self destruct’?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There appears to be a ventilation process.
It would allow someone other than Mandala into the room, as long as it isn’t you,.
Danielle Seamus: “I’ll play Rock, Paper, Scissors with ya for it, Kamris- wait you’re literally psychic.”
“You go anyway.”
Mordecai: Initiating venting. Backup is on its way, Mandy.
Jerrick Kamris: “If you fear it that much…” Jerrick shrugs.
Mandala Sigyn: Thanks, I can hold out here. Just be careful, this thing’s got a punch to it.
Danielle Seamus: “I have two fists and a gun I don’t know how to use,” Danielle pouts.
Mordecai: I must concur with the Inquisitor.
Mandala Sigyn: Anything is better than nothing!
Mordecai: If only one can go, you ‘pack the most punch’, so to say.
Jerrick Kamris: (i think cats was implying that anyone could go in, just not mordy)
Mordecai: that would make SENSE
Jerrick Kamris: anyway im ready to head in once the vents turn on
Mordecai: Kelly I’m take this archeotech plasma rifle
wait not me
Harbinger: (sephs we need CLARIFICATION)
Mordecai: you’m take it
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes
is the case
Por’la Kel’mara : xd
Mordecai: EVERYONE IN BUT ME
Por’la Kel’mara : gimme dat archaeotech “pulse rifle”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Everyone rushes in to fight the anti-titan weapon
Mordecai: DON’T BREAK THAT ARCHEOTECH SO HELP ME OMNISSIAH
Por’la Kel’mara : … am i even proficient
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Including the Astartes
Mordecai: it’s a basic univeersal
Por’la Kel’mara : phew
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It’s basic universal
Mordecai: he’s got a heavy weapon he better get in there
Por’la Kel’mara : “I promise to weild it with the utmost care, Mordecai.”
Danielle Seamus: if you have basic training you can use the plasma rifle
Por’la Kel’mara : owned
Danielle Seamus: but you can
Mordecai: xfd dh profs
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
I’d ask to roll init but
Danielle Seamus: slidin’ on in
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 9
Mordecai: hey dani
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You probably all beat that1
Mordecai: are you willing to use a best power klaw
Danielle Seamus: I’m not assured of beating that at all
Por’la Kel’mara :
rolling 1d10+4 i love init and idk if beat that
Jerrick Kamris: i am~
Danielle Seamus: dangit mordy desperate timez
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The creature swings a claw at Mandala before you enter.
Danielle Seamus: gimme that
Mordecai: TAKE MY KLAW
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 22
Mordecai: DON’T LOSE IT
Rogue Trader GM (GM): …I would suggest dodging Mandy!
Mandala Sigyn: and I shall!
Jerrick Kamris: (no it’s a trick parry it parry it!)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): you cannot parry the tankbuster claw.
rolling 1d10+6 initiative
Mandala Sigyn: …fate
Por’la Kel’mara : tankbuster claw sounds very spooky.
Mandala Sigyn: Doj’d
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 3d10+11- awwww
Danielle Seamus: yeah I just beat it
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Everyone but kel can go!
Por’la Kel’mara : pls
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (brb)
Jerrick Kamris: suck it kel
Por’la Kel’mara : you just wait
Jerrick Kamris: ugh then he leaves so i cant ask a question
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I’m still here quick quick
Jerrick Kamris: how far away
when we enter the scene
Rogue Trader GM (GM): like 10m
Jerrick Kamris: ok
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It’s pretty close
Jerrick Kamris: good, good
Rogue Trader GM (GM): also it has 26AP and 16 TB (12 of which is daemonic)
Jerrick Kamris: ya
rolling 1d100 vs 111 unfettered molten beam tho
Mandala Sigyn: (quick barrow, stab it with your sword)
rolling 1d10+29 pen 32
22 after tb
Rogue Trader GM (GM): NOW gone
Danielle Seamus: time to charge in and use a few precious seconds of jump pack to boost into a leaping CHARGE
with this power klaw I don’t know how to use
Jerrick Kamris: you can do it
Mordecai: don’t powers ignore daemonic tb
so that’d be 34
Jerrick Kamris: do they
Danielle Seamus: correct
Jerrick Kamris: o
Danielle Seamus: psychic powers ignore daemonic
Jerrick Kamris: i didn’t know that
Mordecai: glorious jerry
Jerrick Kamris: i thought it was just special stuff
Danielle Seamus: you’re a good psyker jerry
okay -20 nonproficiency
+20 charge +0 swift attack
Mordecai: +10 best
Jerrick Kamris: +10 high ground
if you’re usin’ a jump pack~
Danielle Seamus: yeah that’s the reason why
and, sure, let’s free action frenzy
Mandala Sigyn: …wait, I have Litany of Hatred, and Hatred (Daemons)
Danielle Seamus: I COULD USE THAT
Jerrick Kamris: does hatred stack with itself tho
Mandala Sigyn: not sure
Danielle Seamus: mine does as it’s not
Jerrick Kamris: o
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The melta beam actually appeared to scar it.
Jerrick Kamris: i did it
i hurt it and now it’s going to kill me
rolling 1d100 v 75 POWER KLAW DEATH FROM ABOVE
Rogue Trader GM (GM): it cannot dodge.
Danielle Seamus: I’ll spend a fate for one more DoS making it four hits.
are you ready to see my hilarious strength multiplied mordy
NINE static damage
Por’la Kel’mara : :O
Danielle Seamus: counting best quality
rolling 4d10+9 E Pen 10 don’t let me down, dice

rolling 4d10+9 E Pen 10
Mandala Sigyn: aww, only 1 Righteous Fury
Danielle Seamus: only 1 damage period I think
I don’t think the rest cuts through
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It ignores the RF
Rogue Trader GM (GM): it does not.
…You did a damage to a titan-weapon though!
Mordecai: it has like a DT of 32 vs pen 10
Danielle Seamus : *pant pant* “…that’s not good.”
Mandala Sigyn: “It’s meant to fight Titans, it’s not going to go down easy.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes. Exert yourselves. Please.
Jerrick Kamris: Techpriest, if there’s anything else you can do to hinder this thing, we would very much appreciate it.
Mordecai: I will scour the systems for all available options.
rolling 1d100 v 103 probably useless techuse
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You could BLOW IT UP.
Harbinger: mordy pls no
i can run away pretty fast
Jerrick Kamris: he’s got the motive for it, we made him into a heretek
Por’la Kel’mara : 0_0
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You could also attempt to distract it while linked up.
Harbinger: we’re all Fearless and probably can’t retreat from this fight
well KELLY isn’t
Rogue Trader GM (GM): That would be very dangerous to your purity, though.
Mordecai: Eh I’ll see how the team does
Jerry put a dent in it!!
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes
The creature fires its tail-mounted laser at the group again.
Jerrick Kamris: uh-oh
Mandala Sigyn: against who?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 3 of them on Jerrick, one on Mandala.
Danielle Seamus: well that’s not good
Jerrick Kamris: uh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You. You die first. In ectsasy.
rolling 1d100 vs 64 pls
Danielle Seamus: just enough
Jerrick Kamris: whew
…I have one fate left
Jerrick Kamris: don’t feel bad
Mandala Sigyn: alive, for now
Jerrick Kamris: i’m totally out of fate :D
Danielle Seamus: “We can’t keep this up much longer!! We may have to resort to Plan B!!!”
Danielle Seamus says but much more frenzied and frothing at the mouth
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
…then everyone else
Por’la Kel’mara : :|
Danielle Seamus: being last on the first round is like going first on all the next rounds
Por’la Kel’mara : Are ther an yweak points to spot on the horriblw awful tank-daemon
Jerrick Kamris: attack when its tail is up
it’s gonna counterattack
Por’la Kel’mara :
rolling 1d100 time for RF scum then, aim, full auto, do i get anything for a size bonus otherwise it’s v 67
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Oh right size bonus
which I believe is like +40
Danielle Seamus: (yes it is)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): If you roll a 10, you do one point of damage to it!
Por’la Kel’mara :
rolling 2d10+5 pen 4 nice 4 hits then
rolling 2d10+5 pen 4
rolling 2d10+5 pen 4
rolling 2d10+5 pen 4
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The shots are absorbed by the core.
Por’la Kel’mara : “I-i suppose I was hoping it was less literally a tankbuster, considering what we’ve fought and beat before!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): What are YOU, creature? Come closer.
Mordecai, its sensors are picking up.
(To Mordecai): It’s the scout titan from before. It’s firing at it.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Next round
Danielle Seamus: “Try… something… else… Mandala!! Use your fire!”
well jerry first
rolling 1d100 let’s melta it woohoo
Por’la Kel’mara : “What would the Haywire grenades do?”
(From Mordecai): the scout titan is firing at the horrible daemon?
rolling 1d10+25 after tb/lolwhatarmor
Mordecai: what WOULD they do
Mandala Sigyn: “Can’t hurt to find out!”
Danielle Seamus is going to use hit-and-run to disengage backward to Mandala and grab her by the head, activating Flames of Faith.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
Danielle Seamus: Let’s make it this session’s Miracle Worker activation, why not.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick is seriously laying down the hurt on it.
Mordecai: Backup incoming. …It may not like us either, though.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): How strong are you, psyker?! I have not felt this since Lord Fulgrim!
Danielle Seamus: you’re up Mandy
Jerrick Kamris: oh ya it probably won’t help much but im gonna move into cover too
Danielle Seamus: “Burn it,” Harbinger says in a weird ghostly and ethereal sounding voice.
Mandala Sigyn: alright, warp torch time
Danielle Seamus: no not THAT
Mandala Sigyn: oh
alright, Immolate the Soul, then
Danielle Seamus: I put Flames of Faith on you
one flame weapon you possess changes its damage type to Explosive
becomes a holy attack
and gains +4d10 damage against this enemy
Por’la Kel’mara : :O
Jerrick Kamris: daaaag
Mandala Sigyn: dayum
Danielle Seamus: also imposes a further -10 agility penalty to any tests to avoid catching fire
on top of whatever you’ve got
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The daemon engine does not care about fire
BUT DOES CARE ABOUT +4d10
Mordecai: i’m shocked
rolling 6d10+4 pen 4 plus corruption damage
Danielle Seamus: daemonic tb no longer applies as it’s holy
Mordecai: does ap tho
Danielle Seamus: yeah but the corruption damage will hopefully
cut that down
Mordecai: well it is a daemon
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You rock it badly.
…You appear to have eaten through half its armour with your combined attacks.
The daemon inside is struggling to break out.
Danielle Seamus: is it possible to actually reach in and touch the daemon yet?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Not yet.
one more round of attacks…
Danielle Seamus: if we can get close enough for me to touch it
I can try to do an exorcism
no point worrying about that though
(Flames of Faith is active until the end of the encounter fyi, Mandala)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Anyone else?
Mandala Sigyn: (woo)

Mordecai: (dangit skaldy)
Jerrick Kamris: does he really miss

Danielle Seamus: how bad is that BS
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It can’t fire, so it attacks Mandala and Jerrick each with its giant claw.
Oh right it would hit due to bonus

it is not a 10
Mordecai: shoulda given HIM the KLAW
Danielle Seamus: I still had an action!

Mandala Sigyn: alright, Mandala’s Immolatin’ again
Jerrick Kamris: immolate it as h*ck

Harbinger: (only matters for Kelly)
Danielle Seamus: now that’s what I call
Mandala Sigyn: I think it’s dead jim
Jerrick Kamris: daaayum

Rogue Trader GM (GM): The daemonic core is breached.
Something is struggling to get out.
Danielle Seamus: hahaha I would *love* to exorcise it guys but I lost my turn
Por’la Kel’mara : its ok we’ll murdr-cize it
Danielle Seamus: Kel

Por’la Kel’mara : its the same basic idea onl with more blood
Jerrick Kamris: it’s up to you

Rogue Trader GM (GM): Go Kel!
Danielle Seamus: you lose one penalty to hit of your choice
(such as the full-auto -10)
Jerrick Kamris: you can slay slaanesh
Por’la Kel’mara : i do like that
Danielle Seamus: and if you RF, you can ignore AP on that hit
thanks to ‘somehow’ finding the weak spots in the armor
(From Mordecai): is it gonna do anything you, you mentioned it doing SOMETHING
Por’la Kel’mara :

Danielle Seamus: ‘?’
Mordecai: man that’s good here
Por’la Kel’mara : can it dodge onow that its breached

Jerrick Kamris: only one of those even gets past its tb
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel, your shots push the creature back for a bit, though don’t seem to do much actual damage to it.
Danielle Seamus: Jerry first but yeah I am!
Mordecai: melt it melt it melt it
Danielle Seamus: “Ungh… Kamris! Can you hold it in place!?”
Jerrick Kamris: (it’s wp vs toughness, idk if i could do it)
Harbinger: well it wouldn’t get daemonic at any rate… up to you
Mordecai: it’s only 4 tb outside of daemonic!
Jerrick Kamris: hmm
“I’ll do what I can. Just hurry!”

rolling 1d100-10 well let’s resolve this first
thank you #based implant
Danielle Seamus: thanks, wave-spars that I tricked jerry into implanting
you were the best decision ever
Jerrick Kamris: darkness~
oh wait i’ve done this
that focus is fine
but then i gotta make another wp test
Danielle Seamus: you can do it I believe
rolling 1d100 vs 71 vs that toughness test
Danielle Seamus: why did I believe
Jerrick Kamris: didn’t
Danielle Seamus: well plan B
rolling 1d10+12 im still crushin’ it tho
Danielle Seamus: the Astartes that sephs certainly has not forgotten about at all
“…Skaldr! Grab that thing…!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “TO VALHALLA I GO!”
13 grapple hit check thing
It’s grappled, it cannot dodge while still half-inside the machine.
Mordecai: he’s like harby classic
Danielle Seamus: With that I’ll use my last fate to activate Divine Touch and perform a charge attack
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
Danielle Seamus: “That thou wouldst bring them only death, That thou shouldst spare none, That thou shouldst pardon none, We beseech thee, destroy them!!”
rolling 1d100 v 95 I’m proficient with my FIST
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Hits.
Danielle Seamus: Grab the head and force a Warp Instability test. Very Hard (-30) Willpower Test or be cast back into the warp.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 35
Do you have any other
or penalties to inflict
Danielle Seamus: I MIGHT
Mandala Sigyn: does Litany of Hate help at all?
Danielle Seamus: I don’t think so that would help me hit a bit more but the issue is the WP test
Mordecai: can i do anything through the matrix
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Distracting it WOULD give it a penalty
Danielle Seamus: I think I’m dependent on Mordecai bailing me out
because I’m out of Fate
I have options with Fate, but I’m out
Mordecai: argh my purityyy
Jerrick Kamris: suck it up
Mordecai: “Foul abomination, be prepared to be cleansed from Holy Mars by your own designs!”
I’m gonna try to get its attention by goin’ for the ol’ self-destruct
Danielle Seamus: double
Por’la Kel’mara : its happening
rolling 1d100 v 113 superfluous tech use
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright Mordecai
Mordecai: 10 superfluous dos
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The giant flame turns towards you in anger.
As the demon then suddenly winks out of existence, leaving the engine room dark and cold.
Por’la Kel’mara : “0_0”
Mandala Sigyn: “The power of the Emperor reigns supreme once again.”
rolling 1d100 v 83 I am actually not that much of a threat right now but I still have to snap out of it
Por’la Kel’mara cautiously steps into the core room.
Mordecai: “The will of the Omnissiah is done, at minimal cost.”
Heading to the core to tend to the injured
Jerrick Kamris: “That went better than I expected.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Yes. Unfortunately, the anti-titan weapon is likely unsalvagable.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (That’s corruption, Mordecai)
(Also your friend has ceased its attack)
Mordecai: (i figured)
Danielle Seamus has gotten blood all over her corpse-starch sack but other than that, no problems here
Por’la Kel’mara : “Unsalvageable? Are you sure?”
Mordecai: The scout has ceased its assault.
Danielle Seamus: oh and I guess I’m on the verge of critical
Mordecai: well ok i guess dani is FINE
Jerrick Kamris: There was a scout assaulting us?
Mordecai: Easy to miss when fighting… whatever that was.
Danielle Seamus: Mordyyyyyy
Mordecai: Damned warp abominations.
Mandala Sigyn: Considering the amount of damage we caused, yes."
rolling 1d100 im medicae
Jerrick Kamris: Alright, then. What now?
Mordecai: heal like, 9 wounds
Danielle Seamus: should be DoS+Int bonus
Mordecai: medicae of 83 to 6 dos + 7 int
Mandala Sigyn: I have no clue. Shouldn’t we be pursuing Dracul?
Mordecai: There may be things of use that we can salvage.
We may wish to inquire to that scout too, since it seems to not be immediately firing on us.
Danielle Seamus: “That thing may provide the next clue to his location down here. We should approach now that it has ceased hostilities.”
Por’la Kel’mara : The sidetrek was worth it to make sure we had weapons to actually fight with, I think..
Skaldr: I desire fire to cleanse my skin from it staint.
Por’la Kel’mara gives the “archaeotech” back to Mordy.
rolling 1d100 vs 82 psyniscience okay where’s the next psychic thing
Por’la Kel’mara : (I shot 12 rounds.)
Danielle Seamus: you can get the power fist from skaldy big guy
Jerrick Kamris: i dont know
Por’la Kel’mara : “Mandy handles fire.”
Danielle Seamus: *power klaw
Mordecai: “Kel’mara, help me check for usable material.”
Mandala Sigyn: I’m gonna try psynisciencing too
Mordecai: yoink power klaw
Por’la Kel’mara : “Of course!”

Mordecai: kelly PLEASE
Por’la Kel’mara :
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mandala, you detect something faint from the support strut impaling the Emperor Titan’s body.
Mandala Sigyn: “I sense something coming from the support strut that’s impaling the Emperor Titan.”
“It’s faint, though.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Hmm.”
Mandala Sigyn: “We’ll want to see if we can acquire some more weapons and armor, first,” Mandala says, slipping out of the massive armor and retrieving her personal gellar field.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): They actually found some weapons!
Mordecai: ya some haywire grenades and an archeotech plasma rifle and some catalytic mass drivers
and we got this sweet heat armor
nothing from the anti-tank thing is salvageable eh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Augmetic Engine-Plate All 7 20 Rare
Mordecai: stupid melta
Por’la Kel’mara : rip
Mordecai: yeah i’ll wear that i guess
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai steals Mandala’s preciousn ew armour
Mordecai: “So, the spine or the scout.”
she just took it OFF
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Steal
Jerrick Kamris: hey i’m the one who found it
Rogue Trader GM (GM): it
Jerrick Kamris: (i dont want it tho)
Mordecai: you better not want it
Por’la Kel’mara : xd
Jerrick Kamris: “If it’s only a faint signature, it may not be an immediate concern. We should try to communicate with the scout, it would know more of this place than we do, and then we can go from there.”
Mordecai: “I agree.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The exit leading to the support strut leads outside as well.
Mordecai: Let’s head THAT WAY.
Mandala Sigyn: alright, let’s go
Mordecai: Also put away my weapons
Try to look nonthreatening.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Their our maintenance ladders leading down the 20 stories of the giant traitor Titan. True to Mordecai’s words, the scout Titan is waiting.
Por’la Kel’mara : Definitely non threatening.
Harbinger: “Now, why is this down here…? Only Magos Prime and above are supposed to have access, right?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Is that one corrupted, too?”
Mordecai: “One way to find out.”
Mandala Sigyn sighs. “I guess we’re going down, then?”
Mordecai: I’ll lead the way in my spiffy new armor.
Jerrick Kamris: “It hasn’t started shooting us yet. That’s probably a good sign.”
Mordecai: “It saw us AND did not shoot at us, fortuitous indeed.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It takes a very long time to reach the bottom, but the titan continues to not shoot at you. The little scout kneels down as you approach, a hatch opening on its side.
Little relative to the giant Emperor-class, of course; a scout-class Titan is still the size of a small building.
Mordecai: it is comparatively kawaii
Mandala Sigyn: desu~
“I… suppose we should climb,”
Danielle Seamus: Into the hatch.
Mordecai: INTO THE ABYSS
“Well, if they wanted to harm us, it would be very illogical to go about it in this manner.”
To the hatch.
Por’la Kel’mara : Hup. “I was waiting for someone else to come out, really…”
Danielle Seamus: and a daemon would *never* go about something illogicall- uh oh wait
Mandala Sigyn: hup
Mordecai: the joke was more about the MECHANICUS being illogical but
it works on a lot of levels
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You enter a bridge, cramped enough that you have to lower your heads to enter save the shortest among you.
…So Danielle and Kel are okay.
Por’la Kel’mara :
Danielle Seamus: fistshake
Por’la Kel’mara : -:|
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The bridge is active, but covered in dust.
Mordecai: “…I suppose it was accurate to think no one was here.”
“But if it is automated, then it should have shot us as intruders.”
Approach the data banks.
Time to find more tech-heresy.
Danielle Seamus: “Is this level of automation even possible?”
rolling 1d100 v 93 tech use
Mandala Sigyn: “If there’s an AI, yes.”
Mordecai: “Possibly, but it would be tech-heresy of the highest order.”
“Not that it means much for ME anymore.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Perhaps it’s similar to a servitor. …A large servitor.”
Mordecai: “Time spent hypothesizing would be better spent studying. I see how it is operating, while I look for recent sensor data.”
I will see*
Mandala Sigyn: “One day, we’ll tell you about the Damocles stations. By comparison, you’re groovy.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): one sec
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, you access a terminal with its logs.
…It is 10,000 years of automated sentry logs.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It takes considerable minutes to scroll even in decades.
Mordecai: or speedily go through it all and remember it via total recall
Por’la Kel’mara : ^
Danielle Seamus: 10,000 years of logs would take a LONG time to go through
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, it appears the titan’s function was to guard something called the Dragon’s Cage on orders of ‘The Master of Mankind’.
Hence in decades!
Danielle Seamus: and with that much information Total Recall has a caveat about the GM screwin ya over
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 1000
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yeah you can’t really remember exact details
Mordecai: Oh well
Rogue Trader GM (GM): just the things copied over each report
Mordecai: See if I can find data on where the Dragon’s Cage is
“I am fairly sure I have found where the shard is.”
“If not then fate is playing a cruel joke.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Where?”
Mordecai: “Somewhere called the ’Dragon’s Cage’.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It says ‘Support Strut RIHB-PSI-11. It also says reading its logs are heresy.
Mordecai: "This relatively little Titan was placed here to guard it by ’The Master of Mankind’."
Mandala Sigyn: “The Emperor himself?”
Mordecai: “I can think of few other interpretations.”
“It is also calling me a heretic. It is not technically wrong.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Well, yes, more than a few egomaniacs have given themselves similar titles.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Each log also lists replacement personnel required for the Titan, urgently. It lists every single crew member.
Mordecai: “It has been waiting for replacement personnel, it seems.”
“‘Support Strut RIHB-PSI-11’ is the location we are looking for.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…I wonder if that’s what the navigator sensed.”
Mordecai: “Most likely.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Interesting. C’Tan shards don’t have a warp- oh, it’s Dracul.”
Harbinger: (just to set the record straight C’tan very much DO have a warp presence so you need to cut that out)
Por’la Kel’mara : “Find one, find the other, I think.”
Harbinger: (they’re not Necrons)
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick looks around the bridge, thoughtful. “Do you think this thing has enough power to destroy a C’Tan shard?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (whether or not the C’Tan have a warp presence I thought was never confirmed)
(They certainly HATE the warp)
Harbinger: (that’s true but I mean, they can’t be warp nulls or like)
Mordecai: “It is a scouting model, but it was put here to guard, so it likely has some formidable armament.”
Harbinger: (nothing I used would have WORKED)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (And warp weapons potentially hurt them more than- yeah, they’re not blanks)
Harbinger: (that’s all that a blank is, a null warp entity)
Mordecai: “It would be in our best interest to have it bring us to the exact location in any case, I will see if it will allow that.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Can we man it ourselves?”
Harbinger: (they’d be perhaps more similar to TAU)
Mordecai: I’m gonna check
the crew listing
DO WE HAVE ENOUGh PERSONNEL
Mordy, Mandy, Kelly, Dani, Barry
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (some of them used to be straight up blanks)
Por’la Kel’mara : i mean it wa srunning autonomously let’ sjust hijack the AI
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (But that was pre-newcrons)
(who even knows now)
Harbinger: (idk much about oldcron lore so you’d have me there)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai, without your prompting it brings up name entry for new personnel
Harbinger: (if you wanna overrule me and say that it’s wrong by all means! I was just assuming standard canon)
(I am plenty acquainted with being wrong)
Mordecai: “…Well then. Inputting personnel data.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (I’m going to go with ‘undetectable warp signature’ and leave it a mystery)
Jerrick Kamris: (at the very least probably not detectable with psyniscience)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (indeed)
Mandala Sigyn: (all I know is I’ve never been able to detect them)
Danielle Seamus: “Are we really going to do… this?”
“I mean we’re already on the Fabricator-General’s bad side but… this is like a whole nother level, isn’t it?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Perhaps, but what other choice do we have?”
Jerrick Kamris: “We’re likely to be executed on sight once we leave this place. I doubt we could do more harm to our reputation than we already have.”
Mandala Sigyn: “If we bring back the head of Dracul, we’ll at least have something to bargain with.”
Mordecai: “It can get no worse for me, at least. And it will likely no matter whose side we are on if Dracul gets his way.”
Danielle Seamus: “There are always more unimaginable and sundry methods of how punishments for heresy can get worse.”
Danielle Seamus shrugs. “It’s an art form, really.”
Mordecai: “We could use false identities?”
Skaldr: “Did you hear about the Rogue Trader who declared himself a new god?” He starts to laugh. “They killed everyone in the Imperium who shared his first name.”
Mordecai: “…Hm, a strange idea. I think I have been around the xenos too long.”
Skaldr: “Good times. Good times.”
Danielle Seamus: “Yeah stuff like that.”
Mandala Sigyn: “What about the last name? You know, Dynasties and all that.”
Danielle Seamus: “That level of excoriation is typically classified.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Something, perhaps, to dwell on once we’re on our way out. We’re wasting time now.”
Danielle Seamus: I’LL TAKE THE PILOT’S CHAIR
infinite tech-heresy works engage
Mordecai: “We have rarely considered the consequences before, why start now?” takatakataka data
Jerrick Kamris: is there a psyker station
or is it all just guns and whatever
Danielle Seamus: get out
Mordecai: I’m gonna throw kelly at the gunner’s chair
Mandy on sensors
Mandala Sigyn: and I’ll form the head
Mordecai: I’ll do enginseery things
Jerry can stand around awkwardly
Jerrick Kamris: perfect
Danielle Seamus: he can also use mind powers that don’t require los

Mordecai: true, he should be on sensors too then
Jerrick Kamris: oh that’s right we are in like the center of the universe
Danielle Seamus: we’ll put two people on sensors
for double sensing
Jerrick Kamris: that’s like crazy high speed internet
i could check all da space buzz about us
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You finished deciding roles?
Mordecai: you can watch space youtube in HD
Danielle Seamus: “I have always considered the consequences of my actions, genetor. Always.”
Mordecai: as far as for people here
Danielle Seamus: “: |”
Skaldr: “I do not know. They erased his last name from the oral histories.”
Jerrick Kamris: “You have shown remarkably little regard for them thus far.”
Danielle Seamus: Barrow can tell Skaldr jokes and inspire
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The machine accepts the entries.
You are granted control.
Mordecai: we finally did it
we got a titan
Por’la Kel’mara : now to turn it over to the Tau Empire
so they can make Tau-tans
Danielle Seamus: “What I may show and what I feel are not always in synchronization.”
“But that is neither here nor there.”
PRESS THE PEDAL
Por’la Kel’mara familiarizes himself with the weapon stations
Mordecai: TO THE METAL
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Titan moves forward with a shuddering step.
Mordecai, the MIU interface drops above your head.
So do some very decayed princeps-interface mechanisms.
Danielle Seamus: do you dare jack in
Mandala Sigyn: “Be careful, Mordecai,” Mandala says, manning the sensor array. “We don’t know what’ll happen when you interface with that thing.”
Mordecai: “What is the worst that could happen?”
rolling 1d100 v 83 WHAT IS THE WORST lore
Skaldr: “: |”
Mordecai: 6 dos
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Your mind gets devoured by a Man of Iron
Also the second worst:
Mordecai: “Oh, fine.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jevican Draknlinus XIV
Por’la Kel’mara : >_>
Mordecai: “Get us there as quick as possible without interfacing, Inquisitor.”
(From Danielle Seamus): THIRD WORST:
(From Danielle Seamus): There is also a perverse effect to the mind-link: it is highly addictive to the human mind. From the moment he manages to dominate his Titan’s Machine Spirit, the Princeps will actively crave being linked to his war engine, for the feeling of becoming a godlike machine of destruction is impossibly intense, and living as a mere human eventually becomes intolerable for some Princeps.
(To Danielle Seamus): yesss
Danielle Seamus: “Engaging engines… err, legs.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Titan steps forward three steps, then stops.
A screen flickers on showing the support strut impaled into the Emperor Titan.
Mordecai: “We have arrived.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Its weapon safeties flip open in front of Mandala.
Mandala Sigyn: “Shall we open fire?”
Danielle Seamus: “Does it want us to destroy the support strut?”
“…does it WANT things?”
Mandala Sigyn: “I think it very well may.”
Mordecai: “Maybe our destination is inside.”
Danielle Seamus: “I’m willing to play along for now, but be prepared to interface if necessary, Genetor.”
“Sigyn, release the weapon safeties; Seneschal, open fire on the support strut.”
Mordecai: “I will be as prepared as one can be.”
Mandala Sigyn flips the safeties off, and watches the strut intently.
Por’la Kel’mara : “Well.. alright then.”
Por’la Kel’mara bewweeee-ooop bzzzoorrp bwuwbwuwb bwuwbbzzzooom weapon powerup noises
Por’la Kel’mara : “And… firing!”
rolling 1d100 idk if i’m even rolling but i love rolling
can i NOT roll
Danielle Seamus: you are rolling though
you’re the GUNNER
Por’la Kel’mara : dangit
Jerrick Kamris: “It just occurred to me that if this is a support strut, and we are destroying it…”
Danielle Seamus: don’t listen to him kelly
Por’la Kel’mara : “Yes, I think that was the idea…”
Por’la Kel’mara doesn’t seem very happy to be bloing up the coolest tank ever.
Jerrick Kamris: “I hope this thing is as sturdy as it looks.”
Danielle Seamus: “If you have reservations about that, Kamris, the Genetor could always ask the machine spirit itself.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I’m just concerned that we may end up having a city fall on us.”
Mordecai: “That is not an unsubstantiated concern.”
Danielle Seamus glances back at Mordecai and then to the interface. “Well in that case…”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel, you somehow
Por’la Kel’mara defends himself by saying people were totally having second thoughts
Mordecai: “If this was indeed put here to guard by the Emperor of Mankind, the chances of this going awry are somewhat lessened.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “.. So, fire for real? Not test shot? That wa sjust atest shot, you know.”
Mordecai: “In the worst case, make my death swift. Jerry is probably best suited.” Time to jack in.
Skaldr: “No-one believes you.”
rolling 1d100 superfluous techuse
Mandala Sigyn: “Yeah, that was pretty awful, Kel.”
Mordecai: So superfluous
Danielle Seamus: “But that’s less because you weren’t convincing and more because of the reality that the xenos always lies.”
Por’la Kel’mara -:|
Por’la Kel’mara rattles off afew precepts about violence being a last resort and clearly he was simply making time for discussions while still following through on orders…. obviously.
Skaldr: “SHOOT IT AND STOP TALKING.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “Alright, alright!”
rolling 1d100 BANG
rolling 1d100 seriously.
Jerrick Kamris: to be fair
Por’la Kel’mara : “These… look, this is entirely different than the Sojourn!”
“You did turn off the safeties, right?”
Jerrick Kamris: you probably did hit it
since it’s so big
Danielle Seamus: Look over to Mandala.
Mandala Sigyn: “Okay, are the calibrations misaligned?”
Mordecai: well at least it gives me time to jack in
Por’la Kel’mara : >.>
Danielle Seamus: well the range penalties probably cancel out
the size differential
he probably needs to hit like
Skaldr: “DO NOT BOTHER ME, I SHALL BE IN THE MIDDLE OF CALBRATIONS.”
Mandala Sigyn: (okay Garrus sheesh)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara, as you go to fire a THIRD time
Your target breaks in half.
Mordecai: the ol’ delayed shot well done kelly
Por’la Kel’mara stops readying a third volley and looks up .".. Ahh! See? There we go!
Danielle Seamus: “Oh, there it goes. Now to see if it was the right-”
Mandala Sigyn: “…I wouldn’t be too sure, guys.”
Something hatches out of it, a flying monstrosity bigger than the war-walker you currently pilot. A beautiful serpent of white, gold and black flies in the air above you, illuminating the darkness of the cavern.
Mordecai: oh emprah it’s the dragon
Jerrick Kamris: “That… Is unexpected.”
Mordecai: Time to interface for maximum combat performance.
Por’la Kel’mara : “No Dracul to monolgue insanity at us, though..?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Whoever’s at the augurs, it’s going haywire.
Mandala Sigyn: “Uh oh. I… think he succeeded, guys.”
Danielle Seamus just widens her eyes, the glittering serpentine form dancing across her reflective irises.
Mandala Sigyn: “These readings are insane.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Mag’ladroth detected. Mag’ladroth detected. Mag’ladroth detected. Death imminent. Summon the Master of Mankind. Summon the Master of Mankind.”
Mordecai: “How, we got here far ahead of his schedule!”
Por’la Kel’mara : “.. I apologize as fervently as I can for missing.”
Danielle Seamus: “It’s not over yet! Dracul hasn’t yet subverted that shard.”
Por’la Kel’mara : (alpha: summon a team of teenagers with attitude.")
Jerrick Kamris: “Do not miss a third time, Xenos.”
Mordecai: “Just do not miss it NOW.”
Danielle Seamus: “Look how… BIG it is.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Apparently not, somehow.”
Mordecai: “Also hope that this thing does have enough armaments.”
Por’la Kel’mara : “If only we were fighting it from inside the Emperor-class.”
Dracul: Well, well, well, Dani. Ain’t this a fine how do you do, as my dear old mum used to say. A familiar voice creeps into your heads.
Mordecai: …There goes that silver lining."
Rogue Trader GM (GM): ~I was just thinking to meself: how do I distract a living god for long enough to do what I got to do? Then someone comes along with a scout titan.
Mandala Sigyn: “Well, Dracul, you’ve finally gone and fucked it up all the way. You’ve summoned a C’Tan within three astral units of Terra. I hope you’re proud of yourself.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yeah! Thanks for asking, Mandy!
Danielle Seamus: “Oh, I see what his game is.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I think this is what he wants.”
Danielle Seamus looks over at the rest of the team. “He wants us to keep the Void Dragon occupied while he establishes control.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I will attempt to locate him.”
“He will not succeed this time,” Jerrick growls.
Por’la Kel’mara : “Under control or wild, either way.. we will be ‘occupying’ the Dragon, won’t we? We can’t let it go.”
rolling 1d100 vs 82 psyniscience to look for dracul
Mordecai: “I do not think ignoring the dragon will work, sadly. We all do not need to be the ones to fight it though.”
Jerrick Kamris: dicebot pls
Por’la Kel’mara : srsly dicebot
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You detect something still on the Emperor Titan.
Danielle Seamus: “We either destroy it before Dracul establishes control, or we find Dracul before then.”
Jerrick Kamris: “He’s inside the titan. He was right under our noses,” Jerrick growls.
Danielle Seamus: “I WAS RIGHT”
Skaldr: “Stranger things have happened in this crazy midgard.”
Mordecai: “I propose sending a group after Dracul while a minimal number of personnel remain here to occupy the dragon.”
Danielle Seamus: “If you interface with it completely, Genetor, can you get control of all of its systems?”
Mordecai: “It should be possible. I was going to suggest such.”
Danielle Seamus: “Try it. If you can pull it off, the rest of us will eliminate Dracul while you fight the Dragon.”
MrInsecure: “Good luck, Genetor. We’ll need it.”
Mordecai: “Understood. I do not know if this will be able to defeat it, but it can keep it occupied for at least some time.”
Mandala Sigyn: *sorry that’s suppoed to be Mandala
Danielle Seamus: “That leaves only transportation as our biggest obstacle…”
“Mandala! Can you detect any ground vehicles in the immediate area!!”
Jerrick Kamris: “I believe I can take us to him.”
Danielle Seamus: “Don’t you usually like to save that for *escapes*?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Gimme a scrutiny +20, Mandala.
Jerrick Kamris: “I don’t think an escape will matter if we cannot stop him.”
Danielle Seamus: “Not that I’m complaining!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mandala, there’s a tank on the ground that in later millenia is called a Leman Russ. Built for reliability, 10,000 years might be stretching it, but perhaps…?
Danielle Seamus: okay guys do we use the portal
or the tank
Jerrick Kamris: god
the portal is faster but
how often do we get to ride around on mars in a leman russ tank
Mandala Sigyn: “I see a fairly large tank at the base of the titan.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “THE TANK! IT IS NAMED AFTER THE HOLY FATHER!”
Danielle Seamus: I knew this drive skill would finally see use
Mandala Sigyn: “I think we got our answer.”
Mordecai: everyone’s drive is useful!
Danielle Seamus: “…Kamris, how big can you make your portal?”
Getting down at the tank.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick ponders. “…I believe I can fit a tank, if that’s what you wish.”
(is a leman russ bigger than 9m wide)
Por’la Kel’mara : (Maybe >_>)
Danielle Seamus: that’s 30 feet
Jerrick Kamris: yeah i’m thinking i can fit it pretty easy
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Length: 7.08 metres Armour:
Width: 4.86 metres
Jerrick Kamris: i can even do it fettered
…though that’d be a tight squeeze
Por’la Kel’mara : nailed it.
Jerrick Kamris: maybe there’ll finally be a use
for this useless invocation skill
Danielle Seamus: “Let’s drop your daddy on this bitch, Skaldr.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Oh boy.”
Danielle Seamus: everyone cram into the tank
jerry open the tank portal
rolling 1d100 vs 82 first a psyniscience to maybe try to pinpoint dracul
at least get us closer than “inside the emperor-class titan”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Everyone but Mordecai clambers out of the Titan and into the Tank. Kel’mara can get its running- human tech has insane lifespans!
Jerrick, it looks like he’s in one of the lower decks.
Por’la Kel’mara : “… and it’s all locked away beneath in this veritable junkyar dof treasures!” he bemoans again.
rolling 1d100 and now for the portal
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The tank drives into the portal, as the giant C’Tan shard roars and dives towards the scout Titan..
