MissBarrow: Barrow da bess
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow da bess
Barrow da bess
Mandala Sigyn: indeed
Kahnak Rith: i love barrow and barrow culture
Down in the depths of one of the many ziggurats in Commoragh, the ’slaves’’ blindfolds are removed. You’re all standing in a large square room, walls glowing with a purple energy field that incidentally provides all the light for the room. The ceiling is black, and the ground… the ground is completely translucent, revealing an indoor reservoir of blood far below you.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
The room itself has few exits- including the one you just came through, stairs guarded by the Eldar who call themselves ‘Kabalites’, a dozen of them along with some sort of mutant creature covered in bandages. They shove you forward towards the room’s other occupants- slaves, mostly, each looking at you with eyes devoid of anything approaching humanity. They mutter to themselves in pockets, trying to steer clear of you all, and the ‘special’ combatants interspersed around the room.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
For example, the Orks, bigger examples of their kind than you’ve ever seen save for a runt who keeps cluthing his head. A woman, covered in stitches, without hair but with a mask covering her faces, her skin an odd colour of green. She keeps staring at you. An old tau man in rags, kneeling on the floor in meditation. Kroot, unchained, heads held up high and armed, checking their weapons. Only their leader lacks weapons, a tall xenos wispy thin. And an Astartes warrior, naked save for a loincloth, chained to some sort of active torture device shooting currents of electricity through his arms.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
The only other avenue of escape is a hole in the wall, leading down to a chute- as you watch Eldar warriors drag bleeding and crying slaves from up above to it, throwing them in. They re-appear below you in a hole above the reservoir, those still fit to move thrashing in the pool of blood before their strength fails them as they drown.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
Meanwhile, up above, Mandala, Jake and Barrow have arrived at a party. Eldar elite are crowded around an arena, one with pits of spikes and glowing purple walls your guide, the Dracon, describes as ‘delightful pain fields’. The Eldar are dressed in a variety of styles- clothes that would not look out of place in some of the more decadent worlds in the Imperium on many, some girded for war, some wearing very little at all, especially the xenos carrying wicked looking blades. They shout orders at slaves, pathetic looking creatures, sometimes maiming them to the apparent delight of the Eldar nobles who smile appreciately at the screaming slaves.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
Apart from your guide, and a male Eldar with a crowd of admirers who nods at you all as you enter (and favours the Dracon with a frosty smile) they ignore you. You’re not alone in your invisibility- they pointedly do not look at a giant Ork the size of an Astartes Dreadnaught, a creature wearing a crude approximation of an Imperial Navy’s admiral uniform, a pirate’s hat carved out of bone its head, one of its legs replaced by a peg-shaped augmentation. Some of the Eldar’s brethren are performing a play against a wall, the troupe of actors playing several stories at once,. One troupe memberstands apart dressed like a nightmare’s clown in the shadows, the only current audience for the play as the other Eldar seem much more entertained pushing random slaves into the pit to fight.
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
Dracon Ervalia smiles back at the Eldar. “Do you see that pathetic excuse for a man? Of course you do. Hierarch Zanian. Your slaves are going to help me kill him tonight. Won’t THAT be exciting? Now, go and mingle. But don’t upset anyone by standing too close to them while being a mon’keigh or something of that nature. You’ll be thrown down to fight with your own slaves. Have fun!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM):
Kahnak Rith: aaaa
Harbinger: WHOA GM quit trying to make me read
Tormak: much read, wow, such descriptive text
Jerrick Kamris: did they take my collar off too
Danielle Seamus: “Stay close to me,” Harbinger admonishes her allies, particularly Lady Sun Lee. “Let’s see what we’ve gotten ourselves into.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): No, Jerrick, though you find your sight has return.
Jerrick Kamris: oh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You can do very little else though- a slight shove is all you can really manage.
Jerrick Kamris: welp
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (Alright starting with the slaves, I guess!)
Danielle Seamus: “Your powers still impeded, Kamris?”
Mandala Sigyn: (I’ll keep quiet for now)
Jerrick Kamris: “This should prove… Interesting,” Jerrick says, looking around. “Quite. I don’t think I’ll be able to use them reliably for this.”
“Though I can at least see.”
Mordecai:“I will refrain from trying to see how this works.” Mordecai watches the walls.
Danielle Seamus: “Then you’re on tactics and analysis. Any idea what that creature in bandages is?”
“And Seneschal, see if you can get that Tau to join us.”
Lee: “What the priest says.”

Jerrick Kamris: i think im gonna need it
Por’la Kel’mara :
rolling 1d100 v 86 kel to the rescue.
Jerrick Kamris: if my powers aren’t working
to the rescue
Danielle Seamus: “Priest, Sun Lee?”
Mordecai:ofc the xenos knows the xenos
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (What is that Kel?)
Por’la Kel’mara :…. i don’t know everyone else rolled know: xenos an i didn’t want to be left out.
Lee: “…The Tech-priest. That IS what he is, isn’t it?”
Por’la Kel’mara :((I think it’s about the unknown xenos like the woman with green skin and such, to discover info))
Danielle Seamus: “…your reverence for the Mechanicus is duly noted.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel, you recognise the creature as an Eldar experiment, a so-called Grotesque; a creature made from an eldar and modified into a monster.
That’s the bandaged creature to be exact
Por’la Kel’mara :Fuckin Eldar.
Danielle Seamus: “Rith, can you tell if the kroot are working for them or just slaves like us?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The green woman appears to be human, though it looks like her hands have actually been stitched onto her.
Danielle Seamus: “And Genetor, can you tell what kind of power supply the Astartes’ restraints are using?”
rolling 1d100 v 69 let’s SCRUTINIZE them
this is gonna be
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Rith: ????
Kahnak Rith: a great session
rolling 1d100 v 69
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Rith:
Jerrick Kamris: rith you’re fired
Danielle Seamus: Continue to maintain a holding pattern if not actively engaged by any forces.
Kahnak Rith: “I cannot say.”
rolling 1d100 v 83 some kind of tech knowledge on restraints
Harbinger: (Kel is talking to the other Tau, right?)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (He said he went up to him!)
Mordecai, there are no obvious power conduits; this is Eldar technology. You do notice a crystal on the base of the left leg of the Astartes’ restraints matches one of the kabalite guard’s rings.
The Astartes opens one eye to stare at you.
Por’la Kel’mara :((Yah, Kel is over w/ the meditating Tau.)
Mordecai:Relay that info to Harby. “…And he seems to have noticed us.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Tau does not move from his spot. “[Tau] Do you have business with me, Water Caste? I am performing the ritual of the bending tree.”
Danielle Seamus: “…prepare to sever that sentry’s hand.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Do you think if my name was Priscilla, that I’d be prettier?”
Mordecai:“I wish I had brought my scalpel now.”
Por’la Kel’mara :is there a knowledge check I can make to know that ritual i.e. if it’s something i shouldn’t disturb him from
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara, you already know it; it’s a fire caste ritual done before the eve of battle, imagining what will happen if you fail.
Kahnak Rith: “On your mark, boss.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It is extremely ancient, but famously re-popularised by Commander Farsight.
Por’la Kel’mara :I’ll let him be for it then and not bug him for now, life as a slave sucks enough without a fellow tau bothering you during important things.
“Ah, my apologies. Sorry to interrupt.”
Tau: “Not at all. I welcome the sight of my race, though I wish it did not have to be as enemies.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“E-enemies? We are slated to fight each other?”
Jerrick Kamris: “Ah, Genetor. Do you think you could have a look at this?” Jerrick says quietly to Mordecai, pointing to the collar around his neck. “It would be good to know if it will blow off my head if I attempt to remove it.”
Tau: “Yes. We will fight to the death in what they call the Dead Wastes, should they choose you all worthy. These ‘Wyches’ are… fussy.”
rolling 1d100 v 83 some kind of tech knowledge
Danielle Seamus: “This is weird. What are they waiting for? I’ve never known orks to pass up the chance for a scrap.”
‘yep, it’s a bomb collar’
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I don’t even need to say anything!
Mordecai:“Yes, it is a bomb collar.”
“That is what they do.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The orks sneer at passing ‘humies’, but otherwise pace restlessly, save for the ill one.
Por’la Kel’mara :“Does this happen often? How long have you been here?” Kel sits down next to the Tau.
Jerrick Kamris: “A vain hope, I suppose,” Jerrick mutters. “We’ll need to get the control for it then, at some point.”
Kahnak Rith: “Maybe even they can realize their situation.”
Tau: “I have been here… I do not know. Time is different here. The tests…” His face contorts. “I have been through three battles. I have survived them, along with the human soldier.”
Danielle Seamus: “…stand down, Rith,” Harbinger grumbles. “The opportune time has not yet arrived.”
Kahnak Rith: “As you say.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“There is only one winner? Or multiples?”
Kahnak Rith watches the kroot in the meantime.
Danielle Seamus: “What principles do you know about implants that interact with psykers, genetor?”
rolling 1d100 v 83 lay it on me gm
Tau: “There are… survivors. It depends. Our masters seem only to want a certain amount of bloodshed before they are satiated. They do not make any sense to me. Sometimes they kill some of us before a battle, for no obvious purpose. Sometimes they declare a winner, only for their leader to duel them to the death.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mordecai you legally know nothing
Mordecai:Good try, Harby
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You illegally know quite a bit, including that they’re incredibly hard to mess with.
The Kroot watch Rith back.
Por’la Kel’mara :“Their leader duels the slaves that win on occasion?”
Danielle Seamus: I don’t actually know anything
Mordecai:“I have heard they are incredibly difficult to interfere with, but I have no experience with such things personally, of course.”
Danielle Seamus: about tech-heresy
“Well, just some pointers would help if you’ve got any.”
Harbinger: (“abstractly, of course”)
Tau: “Yes, though I do not know who they declare as the winner. The slaves band together in groups to fight, they are no set teams.”
Mordecai will dole out a list of hypothetical information concerning the implementation and functionality of psyker implants that the GM can specify if necessary.
Por’la Kel’mara :“Do you have a group?” He says, glancing towards the Kroot if they don’t appear to have an obvious leader already.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Me, and the human soldier. Though is perhaps better to say he tolerates me, Water Caste.”
Mordecai provides you with a supsiciously exhaustive list of traits.
Danielle Seamus: “Well then.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): For example, unlike all other technology you should NOT kick it.
Danielle Seamus: “WHAT”
Kahnak Rith will approach the unarmed kroot.
Tau: “The Kroot are criminals, I am afraid. They want to kill me. I do not doubt they want to kill you. Their leader is a mutant- I saw him…” He shakes hie head. “Perhaps my capture is getting ot me, but I thought I saw him walk through one of the other slaves like an ancient spirit.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Its voice sounds strange, as if the kroot is talking to you through water.
Kahnak Rith: “…You recognize me. What Kindred are you from? And why are you here? I would like to know before we meet on the battlefield.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“The Kroot can unfortunately be lured by money and other base things more often than a civilized person should… Do you recall anything more about the circumstances wherein their leader duels a slave?”
Kroot: “You will know when you are as dead as the Maknor, and the human called Charlabelle. traitor. To think you would come to us, finally; the gods are smiling on us.”
Tau: “I… it is strange, but the leader seemed to go for the most wasteful warrior. The warrior who did not simply go for the kill, but played pointless games. I do not understand why they would want to fight such an incompetent soldier.”
Danielle Seamus: “Alright.” Danielle turns to face Sun Lee, her face brightening a little as she locks her green-eyed gaze on the Rogue Trader. “So, what assets are you bringing to the table, m’lady?”
Por’la Kel’mara :"Ohh. I am familiar with this tradition, actually, from my time among the humans… It is called “Gladiators”. They seek “entertainment”, rather than any true purpose from the wasteful fights."
Lee: “Give me a sword, and I will lay waste to these trash- oh, you’re talking about the astropath’s collar aren’t you.”
Jerrick Kamris: pointless, pointless £
Danielle Seamus: “Anything and everything. In case they don’t give you a sword, what do you expect to do?”
Lee: “Choke someone till I find a sword. The Eldar love their blood- I doubt they’ll let us on a battlefield that didn’t have weapons SOMEWHERE. It’s their style, from what I’ve heard from survivors.”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): no
“I KNEW YOU LITTLE SHITS WANTED TO KILL ME!”
Danielle Seamus: “And if I did-” Harbinger leans in with her off-hand attack.
rolling 1d100 DOES SHE HAVE MORE THAN ONE REACTION
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 39 Yes, she’s as high level as Barrow at this point
Danielle Seamus: darned rival XP
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Kabalites lazily stand up, gesturing to the Grotestque, who lumbers towards you
Kahnak Rith: “I do what is necessary for my Kindred to thrive, I will not question my decision. I will be glad to finish this as well, though.” Rith will turn to return to Harby and the others.
Danielle Seamus: “-what would you do? You’re winging it on a hope and a prayer.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…I’d advise some restraint, Inquisitor,” Jerrick says, looking to the Grotesque approaching them.
Lee: “Well, obviously. And it’s served it well for two hundred years, girl!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *me
“And it’s not like it’s not obvious where the weapon caches are going to be!”
she lunges for you
Danielle Seamus: “And where would that be?” Harbinger keeps her eye on the Grotesque as Lee lunges, taking a backstep into a feint.

Danielle Seamus: Grappled.
Immediately fall prone, grabbing her close to me in case of inevitable grotesque decapitation attempt.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): She seems to be struggling to point her finger at you.
Danielle Seamus: “So, *that’s* your ace in the hole. Digi-weapon.”
Lee: “I don’t know- what you’re- not even wearing a ring- STAY STILL.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): the Grotesque reaches you both
NO IT DOESN’T
Danielle Seamus caresses Lady Sun Lee’s fingers, locking hands with her. “I wouldn’t waste effort on opposing me either way. You’re far too vigorous to get on our bad side.”
Eldar: “[Eldar} Np, you are supposed to pick THEM up, not the metal human!”

Kahnak Rith: in the grim darkness of blah blah
Por’la Kel’mara :@_@
Harbinger: no reason not to try

Kahnak Rith: we’re about to find out

Rogue Trader GM (GM): She pushes off you, stammering. “Look, I’m very flattered, but I don’t swing that way, no matter WHAT you’ve heard of what I did at certain parties, and honestly who doesn’t experiment from time to time over the centuries and-”
Kabalite: “[Eldar] They are not even stabbing each other, what is WRONG with human courtship?”
Danielle Seamus: “-they’re not hostile to us anymore,” Harbinger says, cutting Lee off and abruptly dropping her from her arms.
Lee: A quick flash of comprehension crosses her face as she’s dropped
Rogue Trader GM (GM): WHAT NOW
Danielle Seamus: Dani puts a hand on her hip. “That was a lot of tongue for someone that doesn’t swing that way.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I was hoping to HGM you doing something but fine I’ll switch NOW
Unknown: “[Eldar] They already stopped? How disappointing.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): MEANWHILE UPSTAIRS
Barrow, Mandala, Jake, you are left alone for now.
What will you do at the party?
Captain N. Barrow: Let Mandala sell things
Mandala Sigyn gets something to drink that’s hopefully not too toxic.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Slaves are carrying around drinks on their backs,. One passes by you, hopefully stopping.
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh I wanna try.”
Jake: “They’re already killin’ the slaves, do you REALLY wanna risk it?”
Captain N. Barrow: “But Harby drinks ALL the time.”
Harbinger: it’s called alcoholism
Mandala Sigyn grabs a drink from the slave, making sure not to give it too much respect lest she attract attention.
Mandala Sigyn: “And yes, I do. Because if I’m going to be around all these xenos, I’m going to need to be plastered.”
(So who is there to talk to?)
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow grabs a drink and knocks it back.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The giant ork is around, looking confused at the play. The member of the troupe NOT performing at the play is also watching. The eldar are around, most of whom are ignoring you except the Dracon Elvaria who brought you here and the Hierarch she cheerfully said your ‘slaves’ was going to help her kill
Mandala Sigyn: Alright
Mandala walks up to Dracon Elvaria. “So… how exactly are my slaves supposed to get to the Hierarch? I mean, they’re a bit preoccupied at the moment, if you’ll recall,” Mandala says.
Kahnak Rith: aaaaa
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Sorry
Jerrick Kamris: cat fell asleep on the keyboard
Elvaria: stops chatting with her soldiers and shakes her head. “Well, obviously they impress the succubus. She brings them up here to duel, and I call out my brother for his cowardice and demand he fight slay them himself. Then I detonate the psyker’s collar.”
“Oh, did I not show it to you? I think one of the walls will show you the slave pits if you ask one of the help. I can go kick one for you, if you like; it’s always more fun to hurt someone else’s slave!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Is that strictly necessary? It seems like such a waste of a psyker,” Mandala says.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): as Elvaria The Eldar frowns. “They exist to be tortured and die. You do not want them to live too long. Even mon’keighs can attract She Who Thirsts, human.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Oh, I know. I’ve killed enough of the Prince of Pleasure’s cultists to know I don’t want to be added to its collection of souls.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): She bursts out laughing, and pats you on the head.
“Of course you have widdle human. Of course you have.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Hmph. In any event, if you allow the Hierarch to challenge them to a duel, that could be enough. They are… far stronger than you may think.”
Elvaria: “Hmm. That WOULD be more exciting. Making him accept would be harder- especially if the Succubus wants them for herself.”
Mandala Sigyn: “The succubus can be dealt with.”
Harbinger: (or you can suggest we fight them BOTH :D)
Mandala Sigyn: “Alternately, they can fight both at once. Double your pleasure, double your fun.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Ugh I wish I could fight something.”
Elvaria: “She might need some convincing, but oh, she could go with THAAAAT…” The Eldar frowns at the play. “Why do the Harlequins even bother? It’s not like anyone’s paying them attention except that Grafftletz idiot.”
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow boredly laments the lack of potency on the drink’s part.
Harbinger: barrow did you really say that
Elvaria: “I’m sure she won’t mind if you throw yourself into the fray too!” She pats Barrow on the head as well.
Captain N. Barrow: “I’m not supposed to though.”
Elvaria: “Oo, yes! I insist! You look good with a sword.” She leans in to Sigyn. “More money for you this way.”
Captain N. Barrow: “I’m pretty decent with a sword.”
Elvaria: “Well. There you go, then!”
Captain N. Barrow: “You know, if I did that kind of thing.”
Mandala Sigyn: “If she entered the fray, it would just be unfair,” Mandala says with a smirk. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go antagonize a few antagonists.”
Captain N. Barrow: Are there any more drinks nearby or was that it?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): -There are an infinite number of drinks.
Elvaria helpfully points out which are poisoned.
Captain N. Barrow: Drink one
Elvaria: “As you wish. It’s a disappointment, though.”
Captain N. Barrow: “If I get super smashed it might be fair.”
“Or I could use my other hand.”
“You know if I was good at swordfighting.”
“Instead of just being a slave owner person thing.”
Barrow drinks again.
Elvaria: “yes, so you said. Why do you keep saying it.”
Captain N. Barrow: “My imagination gets the better part of me.”
“Too many warp storms I suppose.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): What are you doing, Mandala?
Captain N. Barrow: "What do you think of the name Priscilla?
Mandala Sigyn: O
I’m going to the Hierarch to say hello
I’m going to try to set up a McCarno shuffle
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Hiearach shoos away his crowd, to their confusion. “Well, now/. If it’s not my delightful subordinates’ new supplier. What a delightful colour you are for a human!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Color? I suppose you are referring to the paleness of my skin,” Mandala says. “I did not realize such things were considered attractive to the eldar.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “All abberations are attractive. It is a pity humans do not see it that way, yes? So. Have you come to poison my drink?”He offers it to you. “I assume she asked you to kill me. I HOPE she has. We’re family, after all. It would reflect badly on me if she wasn’t amitious!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Some statements were made in that capacity,” Mandala said, suspiciously. “I assume you wish to see her dead as well?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Oh, goodness, no! This is FAR too much fun. And she’s too stupid to ever pull it off. What did she suggest? The old explosive collar trick? A shooter hidden in the play those Harlequins are performing?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Oh, it would spoil it if I told you, wouldn’t it?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Ha! Delightful. I knew you were very understanding for a human. Poison won’t work, of course- always keep in with the Haemonculi. Immune to all now poisons, now, and most unknown ones.” He snaps his fingers, and the floor becomes see through revealing the slaves below- including Danielle. “See the human with the mask? One of my best warriors, taken by the Wyches on a raid on a human ship called the Harbinger’s Sojourn. Died, of course, but they made her better than new. Undefeated! And with the orks thrown in, well. Always be on the look out for allies!”
“And always look out for your allies stabbing you i nthe back, of course.” He smiles
Captain N. Barrow: Hey
I know that ship.
Por’la Kel’mara :uh-oh
Mandala Sigyn: “…Interesting. I did not realize the eldar could perform such feats.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Oh, of course we can. Nothing is beyond us.” He smiles and waves a glass of something red that smells of iron. “Do you know what that play is called? ‘The Fall of the Eldar’. I respect the Harlequins, but really. Do we look fallen? Even death is not the end for us. We have mastered the webway. The arena your slaves are going to be fighting in? A necrontyr battleship, repurposed. We fear nothing!”
Mandala Sigyn: “A necrontyr ship? Is that wise?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “It’s been emptied, don’t you worry. Teleportation signals disabled. FTL-drive disabled. Even the necrontyr do not match Eldar technology!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Astounding,” Mandala says, genuinely impressed. “I only managed to capture one by trapping it in a stasis field, and that cost me several dozen crew men to accomplish.”
Hierarch Zanian : You…" He looks at you. “You are wasted on her, if you’re telling the truth. Join me and I promise riches beyond compare.”
An eldar whispers in his ear. “Well, mostly beyond compare. A lot of riches is what I am trying to suggest.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I will think on it. First, I propose a wager: the slaves I have brought, versus an equal number of warriors of your own choosing.”
Hierarch: “Hmm. And what would the wager be for?”
Captain N. Barrow: (You get to keep our Tau)
(That’s if we win)
Por’la Kel’mara :(;~;)
Mandala Sigyn: “Typically, I am fond of riches. I have recently come into the wealth of an entire rogue trader dynasty; I figure a planet of vulnerable souls might be of value to you.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (if they win you’ve got to take THEIR Tau as well)
Captain N. Barrow: (This isn’t worth it at all)
(Mandy throw the fight)
Mandala Sigyn: “However, if you lose, I would require something of equal value.”
Hiearch: “Such as?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Hmm… I espy the one you refer to as ‘Succubus,’ who wears an artifact of great value atop her head as a crown.”
“That is approximately worth a planet, I believe.”
Hierarch: “Ah. We reach a problem. I am not her master.”
Mandala Sigyn: “No, but I am certain you could arrange to obtain that item through other means.”
Hierarch: “Hmm. I could. Especially if she should die in the arena.”
Mandala Sigyn: “That… could be arranged, if she will fight.”
The Eldar pushes aside his admiring crowd and gives a half-mocking bow. “Then the bet is made, slave master.” He stands back up, adjusting his skull-pattern robe. “This has been… ah. Speak of the daemon and she shall appear.” He points at the view of the slave pen.
Captain N. Barrow: .
Mandala Sigyn looks down.
Jerrick Kamris: it’s capitalism aeroplane emperor donkey kong
calling it now
An Eldar enters the pen, moving with the grace of a Grynix and carrying a sword still dripping in blood. She wears a leotard that reveals most of her alabaster skin, self-inflicted scars counting the number of each type of xenos she has personally murdered judging from tattooed Eldar script above them. Her red hair flies behind her, pins of bone driven through it rattling as she enters.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Mandala has never seen her before in her life. Jake throws a worried glance at Barrow.
(To MissBarrow): hey remember when you were tortured when an Eldar took over your ship
(To MissBarrow): Guess who this is
Hierarch: “Succubus Irkalla herself. My, I wonder what brought her attention?”
(To Jerrick Kamris): when we move back to you HEY YOU RECOGNISE HER
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick suddenly grows still as the eldar woman enters the room.
Mandala Sigyn: “Who knows?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): SWITCHING BACK DOWN
(From Captain N. Barrow): So uhh does Barrow see this?
(To MissBarrow): YES
Captain N. Barrow: “Hm, I might favor my imagination for a bit, and do some swordfighting,” Barrow murmurs.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “I am Succubus Irkalla. Cease your fighting. It will be a waste to kill each other without an audience.”
Danielle Seamus: “Awfully stiff there, Kamris. Don’t tell me it was on account of us ladie- whuh”
Harbinger: (what language is this)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The Eldar is speaking in her own language, but a translation in low gothic comes out of a simple iron collar around her throat
This seems to be a common theme.
Danielle Seamus: “No fighting here ma’am, no, we’re just uhhhh” IS SUN LEE STILL IN RANGE FOR ERP
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Against my better judgement
Danielle Seamus: resume the writhing tantric copulation
Succubus: “Ah, this is more interesting. Guards; make sure they start at opposite sides of the arena.” She smiles at the pair of you. “Should either of you kill the other during the battle, you will be given our favour, and may skip a future battle. Murder between lovers is ssssso potent.”
Danielle Seamus: “emperor dangit”
Lee: (“Did you really not study ANYTHING about these xenos”)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *muffled
Danielle Seamus: (“I was too busy biting on your tongue to read anything”)
Irkalla: “I am here to test the new slaves. You must be ready to steal the show, or what WOULD be the point?” Her arm shoots out for Danielle’s occupied jaw
Danielle Seamus: “Oh no-”
Dani squeaks in a muffled grunt as she tries to react rapidly.

Rogue Trader GM (GM): She grabs your jaw, turning you towards her and kissing you passionately before releasing you with a shove.
Danielle Seamus: “Mmmmfffgggghhhh…!!”
Captain N. Barrow: That has got to be heresy.
Irkalla: “Love. War. They’re both the same. You can read a warrior from either. When you’ve killed so many of them, you can recognise them anywhere.” She turns away. “Tell me, Sister; where are your fellow warriors? Did you betray them? Perhaps you watched them die. Did they scream like cowards when they fell?”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): As her sword-whip tears into your flesh, she licks the blood of her lips. “Now. We’re even.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Why did she try to block that?” Mandala says, incredulously.
Hierarch: “She was doing SO well.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Hmm. Well, wait a moment and see what happens.”
Danielle Seamus: Grit teeth and pull down on the sword, hard, twisting my body into the surprise assault.
I’m gonna pull it out of her hands.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alreight
Danielle Seamus: Disarming. I immediately take crippling damage.

Danielle Seamus snaps the sword at her, backing away slowly. “You want it… take it in the arena.”
The Eldar cocks her head, then bursts out laughing, an alien laugh that sounds more like the screaming of a wounded animal. “Yessss. Yes. She has passed all the tests; she is worthy to be in the arena. Let her keep it till I can pry it off her own corpse.”
Irkalla: “The rest of the new slaves. Line up. Your tests await.”
Mordecai:“I suggest trying not to move.” Mordy will whisper to Dani before falling into line.
Kahnak Rith falls into line silently.

Rogue Trader GM (GM): the Hierarch?
Captain N. Barrow: Uh
The other chick that kept talking at her.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): oh the Dracon
Lady Elvaria: “Sex? Sex is such a base word. I prefer ‘lovemaking to the sound of screaming slaves on a bonfire’.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): As you line up, she pairs the non-Danielle slaves with each other.
Kahnak Rith: c’mon mordy vs rith
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick, Kel, you’re both paired up with another human, sullen dead-eyed creatures.
Mordecai, you and Rith are facing each other.
Captain N. Barrow: “Okay, well during bonfire screamy lovemaking, what do you do if your partner is more into spikes and bleeding than any actual lovemaking?”
Kahnak Rith: god why
Elvaria: “I don’t understand the difference.”
Captain N. Barrow: “I need an heir.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The glass underneath the pairs with a shudder seperates from the main floor, and the pairs find themselves floating over the lake of blood, on a flying pane of glass.
Captain N. Barrow: “I need a baby to come out, not blades to go in.”
Elvaria: “oooh! You want a TRUEBORN.”
“Someone to lord over the vatborn, someone destined for greatness.”
Mandala Sigyn: “…Sure, something like that.”
Por’la Kel’mara looks around at the rest of the slaves’ reactions.
Captain N. Barrow: “Yeah I don’t think… I have a vat.”
Barrow looks down at her stomach.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The human slaves look slightly confused
Captain N. Barrow: *poke*
Danielle Seamus: Danielle is going to kneel on the floor warily, trying to extract the razorwhip wrapped around her arm as best she can.
Elvaria: “Tie the donor down. Leave no room for blades.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (oh christ I’m advocating asasult)
(Dark Eldar romance advice is the worst)
Kahnak Rith: in the grim darkness of the far future

Elvaria: “Some partners are even into that sort of thing. Your own screams heal the soul as much as anyone else!”
Irkalla: Down in the pit, the Succubus shouts down at you. “Fight. Wrestle. Survive. One will fall into the lake of blood. One will come up, stronger, harder. There can only be one of each pair declared a winner. Begin!”

“Maybe I can get Mordy to rig something up.”
Barrow taps her chin in though.

Mandala Sigyn: “Then you shouldn’t have tried to escape,” she says smugly.
Jake: “Oh, throne.”

“Kamris, save your strength. Use your opponent’s momentum against him.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Rith you’re right next to each other.

Danielle Seamus can’t complete the cry because she’ll take more unsoakable crippling damage

Danielle Seamus: “She… if she does that to me, or any of us in battle, that’s it. We’re dead.”

Danielle Seamus: “Sometimes I don’t know if you’re capable of sarcasm, genetor. But it goes deeper than that.”
Danielle keeps panting as sweat beads on her forehead and runs in rivulets down her face. “It’s not her weapon that does it. It’s her hands. That’s her raw skill.”
“She tags any of us with any weapon, and… I don’t even know.”
Mordecai:“Aim to take her out before she can respond?”
“Obviously not that simple.”
Danielle Seamus: *grunt* “But the right idea. We have to gang up on her and take her out the second she exposes herself if we get the chance.”

Danielle Seamus: “I would recommend- ugh- we get as much rest as possible before they throw us into the real crucible tomorrow.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“I cannot articulate my desire to save you from this living hell.” Kel sits again by the Fire Caste Tau.
Tau: “I am saving myself already. As you are. You have already learned the best method of survival; earn our captor’s favour.”

Mandala Sigyn: what should I roll? Xenos?

“Can I shoot myself in the bleedin’ head now, or do you want to let them do that?”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): “…Alright, alright. I think I can head out. Good luck.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Send me a message if anything happens.”

“I think they’re a fruit or a nut or some kind of shoe.”
“Edible shoe I think.”
Dracon: “App- oh, App-Less. Yes, they were created by the Eldar several million years ago. We graciously seeded them on a hundred worlds as a gift to the universe.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh!”
“Do you have some?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): She stares at you for a second, then reaches for a slave carrying food around.
She hands you a red, spherical object.
You have never seen anything like it before.
Captain N. Barrow: “This is an apple?”
“It looks nothing like a shoe.”
“Or a nut.”
Dracon: “What else would it be? Sher’un Ba’ka ’Mon’keigh.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Do you have… seeds?”
Dracon: “IT IS A FRUIT.”
“They are INSIDE the apple.”
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow stares at the apple in awe.

Captain N. Barrow: “I.. no.”

Danielle Seamus: “Yeah, you and Kamris and the Seneschal…”
Lee: “You looked favoured to ME.”
Jerrick Kamris: “They look for the most entertaining slaves,” Jerrick says. “I believe you meet that qualification quite easily.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Lee is grumpy; she failed to fain favour because she refused to push her opponent off.
Danielle Seamus: “I don’t like this definition of favored.”
Mordecai:“It is the Eldar definition, so that makes sense.”
Danielle Seamus: “Hey, you think my antics back there got Irkalla to forget about the whole pitting me and Lee against each other for being quasi-lesbians?”
Danielle Seamus : *thumbs-up to Lee*
Jerrick Kamris: “…I don’t believe even you are that naive.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): A single Eldar moves into the room. Unlike the kabalite guards, he is wearing a white porcelain mask showing a smiling, androgynous face. The mere sight of it itches in Jerrick’s head.

It completely ignores Danielle
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick falls silent, looking at the Eldar.

Mordecai:“What is up with this one?”
“I thought these ones did not like psykers. Unless it is about to do something horrible to Jerry.”
Danielle Seamus: “Isha said her partners in prophetic crime were here. I wouldn’t put it past her-”

Eldar: “A boon.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It speaks flawless high gothic.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick raises an eyebrow.
Mordecai:‘what is this strange xenos tongue’
Danielle Seamus: “It’s got the *insufferable* miasma of Mortaria, though.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): This is not the same feeling as with Mortaria, Jerrick
it’s somehow… worse
rolling 1d100 vs 75 does my xenos lore tell me anything about this
Eldar: “A boon. Your companion saved my sister’s life. Thus a boon I shall grant thee.”
Jerrick Kamris: 5 dos~
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You know a little about harlequins- they’re weird even for Eldar.
Danielle Seamus: “Sister’s- Mandyyyyyyyy”
“Also, technically, meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Supposedly, there’s one even wierder than the rest, always apart- a creature called a ‘Solitaire’.
Jerrick Kamris: “And what manner of boon would one such as you grant to me?”
Danielle Seamus: “Can the boon be for him to kill himself so we don’t have to listen to its grating voice any longer?”
Solitaire: “Anything in my power.”
“If that is your boon, than I shall leave.”
Mordecai:“Jerry’s voice isn’t that bad.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I want… I want to be able to fight,” Jerrick says simply. “At my full power.”
Danielle Seamus: “I am *really* confused as to if you understand how many jokes you make on a daily basis, Genetor.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The creature touches your collar.
You feel the burden lessening, on your mind, until it’s all gone.
Jerrick Kamris: im freeee
Solitaire: “Simple. The debt is paid.”
Danielle Seamus throws her research into the nearest trashbin full of used rape kits
Rogue Trader GM (GM): He turns. “I would have thought you would ask for escape. Curious.”
IS STILL ATTACHED
The Eldar moves to leave up the stairs
Por’la Kel’mara anime flop on bak
Danielle Seamus follow suit
Jerrick Kamris: “We still have business here.”
Solitaire: “Yes. The C’tan. The one who would repeat the mistake of She Who Thirsts is already here. You may be too late.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I pray to the Emperor that is not so. But we’ll stop him anyway.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The masked Eldar stares at you before heading out.
Danielle Seamus: “Dangit Jerry I would hit you if it wouldn’t hurt me more than it would you”
“on the other hand”
Jerrick Kamris: “I have my power back. We can leave at any time.”
Danielle Seamus fishes her research back out of the trash
Danielle Seamus: “Except for the whole bomb collar thing.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I thought we still wished to fight in the arena? We have an STC to retrieve, after all.”
“It wouldn’t do any good to have it removed just for them to give me another.”
Mordecai:“That is correct, we cannot leave without that. And the Captain’s revenge, likely.”
Lee: “What total rubbish was that xenos even TALKING about?”
Danielle Seamus: “Taking it off once we got to the arena was the general idea anyway… that hasn’t changed. It’s just not quite as useful.”
Mordecai:“True, we could have asked for some firepower.”
Danielle Seamus: “Dwelling on it will do us no good. Let’s use Kamris’s power to our advantage.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The other slaves are watching you all with bemused interest
Danielle Seamus: “…man. How did *Barrow* lead an uprising against these things. Seems impossible, given the circumstances.”
Mordecai:“She did succeed in dueling that redacted, recall.”
Danielle Seamus: “Thank you for redacting that.”
Jerrick Kamris: “She is a rather charismatic leader, when she chooses to be.”
Danielle Seamus: “Never you mind, Scion of the Ma’Kao Dynasty.” Danielle turns to Sun Lee.
“Lady Sun Lee. Where do we need to get you to reestablish your control over your Dynasty?”
Lee: “I HAVE control?”
“I need to just get back to my ship!”
Danielle Seamus: “And the Nihontu is docked here in Commoragh?”
“We didn’t see it among the ships of Penance.”
“No, the ship is docked at Terminus Est.”
“I mean, that’s the closest way to Commorragh.”
Danielle Seamus: “…I don’t know whether to hit you again or kiss you again.”
Lee: " “NEITHER.”
Danielle Seamus: “Thinkin’ both”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): what is everyone else doing
Danielle Seamus shakes her head. “No matter. Kamris, rip open her mind.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…And what would I be searching for?”
Lee: “Wait, hang on a-”
Danielle Seamus: Harbinger rests her chin on her hand thoughtfully. “The way Lee got here in the first place. The path through the Webway. The dock she disembarked at.”
Por’la Kel’mara :I’m just hanging out with the Tau, I don’t really have anything “special” i’m doing other than people wtahcing and keeping an eye on and aorud things, so
Danielle Seamus: “You open a portal to that location, and send her with every slave that isn’t us through.”
“Every slave that will listen to reason, at least.”
“From there,” Harbinger ruminates, “if she has even a modicum of competence she and the slaves can overpower the docked ship there and get back to Terminus Est.”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick ponders for a moment, and nods. “Very well.” He looks to Lee. “If you wish to ease the process, feel free to concentrate on these things. Resistance may be… Painful for you. And you wouldn’t want to accidentally divulge any secrets to a rival Rogue Trader crew, would you?” He turns back to Dani. “…She should be restrained, as well.”
Mordecai:Time to grapple Dani
Danielle Seamus: “I got this, Genetor.”
Danielle Seamus grabs ahold of the Rogue Trader Lady Sun Lee tightly, pressing her body as close as she can.
Danielle Seamus: “Oh, hey. Look where we are again.”
Mordecai:“I am unsure if quasi is an appropriate descriptor anymore.”
rolling 1d100 vs 111 i miss my pluses
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 1d100
Harbinger: its happenin
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 55
Wait how did you reroll
Harbinger: he failed
Jerrick Kamris: because i fail on a 91+
Rogue Trader GM (GM): ah right
Jerrick Kamris: anyway 4 dos
Danielle Seamus: “Hey, Jerry, make sure you get her experimental phase memories while you’re in there, eh?”
“…I feel this is an appropriate time to stress that I’m straight, honestly, Lee.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You win Jerry
Jerrick Kamris: yay
im not lookin’ for any extra stuff other than a place to stick the other end of this portal
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
You find it
Harbinger: (jerrick is on the other side of the otp in the ship wars)
Jerrick Kamris: and especially not for any suppressed bisexual tendencies
anyway once i get that i’ll break the probe
Danielle Seamus: “You didn’t get them, did you?” Danielle pouts.
Jerrick Kamris: “Perhaps you should simply work on your seduction skills, Inquisitor. I’m not your wingman.”
Danielle Seamus: “I’M STRAIGHT”
Jerrick Kamris: “You’ve certainly proved it during our time in here,” Jerrick says dryly.
Danielle Seamus: “DEDICATION TO THE EMPEROR”
“WHO IS A GUY,” Harbinger adds.
Jerrick Kamris: “I’m sure that’s all it was.”
Danielle Seamus huffs, her eyes narrowing at Sun Lee. “You think you can hold it together long enough to get back to your fleet, Lee?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Y-yes you sadistic BITCH- I mean yes thankyou for the freedom.”
Danielle Seamus holds up a finger. “Ah, ah, ah. I would have thought the prodigy of the Ma’kao Dynasty would know better than that.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “The catch?”
Danielle Seamus crosses her arms and takes a momentous pause.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “I’m NOT going to make out with you again.”
Danielle Seamus: “Vassal to the Barrow Dynasty. Annual tribute.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “HahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.”
Danielle Seamus: “Or I kill you tomorrow.”
Danielle Seamus unfurls the razor-whip menacingly.
Danielle Seamus: A small smile reveals itself on Dani’s face. “I’ll also exonerate you of those scurillous piracy rumors that have spread like wildfire through Damocles.”
“That will more than make up for the tribute, in terms of Thrones.”
Danielle Seamus lists a suspiciously exhaustive litany of the piracy rumors that have been leveled against Lee over the past years.
Lee: “You. I should’ve KNOWN Barrow didn’t have the imagination.”
Danielle Seamus: “Freedom and a profit for you. You know what Ma’kao mercantile policy is on that.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): She grinds her teeth.
“Fine. FINE! BASTILLE wouldn’t have agreed to this”
Danielle Seamus: Dani blows a kiss. “Trust me, darling, he’s going to get a *far* worse deal than that.”
Kahnak Rith: Bastille-kun~
Danielle Seamus: “Genetor. Notarize that, officially.”
Mordecai:“It has been processed.”
Danielle Seamus: “Excommunicate Tratoris to anyone that breaks it,” Danielle issues a helpful chirpy reminder.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Lee’s face falls
“You’re not even a full Inquisitor! I’ll complain to Dracul about this!”
Danielle Seamus takes out the Rosette a bit languidly.
Danielle Seamus: “I’m… sorry, what?”
Lee: “YOU WERE AN INTERRGATOR FOR ALL OF 3 HOURS, COME BLOODY ON!”
Danielle Seamus: “Time keeps on slipping into the future, m’lady. Now, if I’m not mistaken, you have freedom and a healthy profit to achieve.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “God-Emperor, I’ll get you for this if the profit doesn’t outweigh the shame!”
Jerrick Kamris: at least she has her priorities straight
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “If it does, I hope this is the start of a BEAUTIFUL friendship.”
Jerrick Kamris: even if dani doesn’t ;)
Lee: “Open your witch-portal.”
Jerrick Kamris: “We should get the others organized first, if you are to lead a rebellion.” Jerrick looks to the other slaves.
“I can only keep it open for so long.”
Harbinger: I commit the motes to Tiger Warrior Training Technique
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Most of the human slaves are willing to leave.
The only exceptions are: the Astartes, who’s bound here;
Harbinger: we’re not giving Lee a Space Marine anyway
Rogue Trader GM (GM): the green woman, who doesn’t appear to understand the question and keeps staring at Jerrick
Kahnak Rith: can’t wait to eat that
Rogue Trader GM (GM): the old man with the walking stick who cheerfully declares he’d rather die horribly than go through a witch-portal
And that Jerrick’s soul is damned and he will burn in the warp forever.
Kahnak Rith: i like the cut of that guy’s jib
Danielle Seamus: :D
Rogue Trader GM (GM): the Tau also refuses to leave, declaring he will not leave the Astarte behind.
Kahnak Rith: c’mon orkiest rebellion
Rogue Trader GM (GM): One of the orks decided to go out of boredom
Jerrick Kamris: is the place within 4 km
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The rest stubbornly refuse, saying the ‘Kaptin’ will beat us to death with our own faces."
Jerrick Kamris: ok
rolling 1d100 i can do it fettered then
Rogue Trader GM (GM): They all rush out, whooping and hollering
the Kroot stare at them as the ygo.
Danielle Seamus: “Rith. Do you wish to stay here, or escape into Commorragh and hunt down Dracul?”
“I leave it to your discretion.”
Por’la Kel’mara :(the legendary one player party split)
Kahnak Rith: “I have business in the arena.”
Danielle Seamus: “Very well.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The arena is left far emptier.
All that is left are the orks, the kroot, the Astartes, the green woman and the fire warrior.
And the crazy old man ranting about Jerry.
Danielle Seamus: “…we *really* have to figure out what that green female is.”
Tau: “[Low Gothic] Woman? Strange. Fought before. Strange.”
Kahnak Rith: “Strange like a witch strange?”
Jerrick Kamris: “She seems to be looking at me, whoever she is. And I don’t think it’s because I’m a psyker.”
Tau: “[LG]Witch? Like ‘Psyker’? No. Doesn’t feel pain. Doesn’t stop. Too fast for human.”
Danielle Seamus: “I’m going to sound like a broken record, Kamris, but could you…”
Jerrick Kamris: “…I think she might put up a bit more of a fight than Lee did. I doubt your charms could woo her enough to hold still for me.”
Danielle Seamus: “She may hold still of her own accord. She seems to be transfixed.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): A long droning osund comes from beneath her mask.
Kahnak Rith: “!”
Por’la Kel’mara :“…?”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick raises an eyebrow.
Woman: “Kaaaaaaaaa. Ka. Kam. Kamaaaaaaaa.Kamrrraaaa.”
Danielle Seamus: “Jerryyyyyyyyyyyyy”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick tilts his head curiously. “…Perhaps I should make the attempt anyway. This has me curious.”
rolling 1d100 vs 111 let’s probe random crazy people this will have no lasting consequences i’m sure
Harbinger: the future refused to change
Por’la Kel’mara :can’t you not fate a successful test
Kahnak Rith steps back.
Jerrick Kamris: hey it changed a failure into 9 dos
i fail on a 91+
Harbinger: no one understands the psyker rules
Por’la Kel’mara :SAME
Kahnak Rith: focus power always fails on 91+
Por’la Kel’mara :(my b)
Kahnak Rith: i know they for reasons that certainly aren’t future heresy
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 99
Harbinger: but if she’s psychic
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Jerrick, you find yourself on the Sojourn’s bridge.
Harbinger: she just triggered phenomena
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It’s completely empty, save for you and the captain.
Jerrick Kamris: “What…”
Alexandria Barrow: “Astropath Kamris? Contact the choir master! I can’t reach him from here!”
Jerrick Kamris: “What.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The old captain of the Harbinger’s Sojourn paces around the bridge, running her hands through auburn hair. “Where is everyone? Pilot Sanc- ty. Pilot Sanc- ty! Enginseer - ! Where are they? Where are the NAMES Kamris? WHERE ARE THEY?”
Jerrick Kamris: “How is this even…?”
“Is it really you, captain?”
Alexandria: “Of course. I can’t die. The prophecy was QUITE clear on that, young psyker. My name is Ale… Al… My name is Captain Barrow, last of her line. No. Why did I say last…?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The entire bridge rumbles.
Jerrick Kamris: “Did they really…”
“You should be dead…”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “This isn’t real, is it, Jerrick? How can I be dead?”
“Tell me I can’t be dead.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I saw you. I felt you… Why would they…? HOW?!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “No. No, tell me I’m not dead, Astropath. I COMMAND you!”
rolling 1d100 v 44
Jerrick Kamris: “This has to be some sort of trick…”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There seems to be memories this one is suppressing
Jerrick Kamris: we have to go
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Well you brought this on yourself
Jerrick Kamris: i sure did
The bridge melts away to reveal a chair beneath a horrifying array of implements. “NO… no! Don’t bring me here, Kamris! This never… this never happened! NO STOP!”
Alexandria’s body jerks like a marionette, until her limbs are pulled off one by one as she screams. The chair’s straps lovingly drag her screaming corpse to it as the horrible devices descend to chop and remake her, her blood flooding the room you’re in.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): 2
Jerrick Kamris: hi
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Insanity
Jerrick Kamris: well yes
2 insanity np np
im gonna break the probe
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You break the probe.
You could go DEEPER INSTEAD
Jerrick Kamris: oh
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Do you
Jerrick Kamris: this is a bad idea but
i gotta know
Rogue Trader GM (GM): ALRIGHT
An Eldar appears above her. On its back, in cruel mockcery of mechandrites, sits an array of torture instruments on arms. Its bottom jaw has been replaced by that of of a giant snake’s. “Isn’t it wonderful?”
Jerrick Kamris: okay i got that guy’s face memorized
let’s get outta here
Harbinger: is that the final level
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes
Kahnak Rith: cheese it
Eldar: “Where are you going? We have so much more to talk about, Kamris!”
Harbinger: uh oh
Jerrick Kamris: “What.”
Kahnak Rith: ya dug too deep jerry
Eldar: “My work. My masterpiece. And you, of course. Your part in all of this.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I’ve had enough of a part in all this, thanks,” Jerrick growls. “Too much, if you ask me.”
Eldar: “You have. You’ve freed me. I thank you.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I… What?”
Eldar: “She suppressed me. After so much effort of imprinting myself in her memories. There are a thousand ways to cause pain, and I pushed a little too far. But your therapy did wonders. Her screams of fear and anger tomorrow will excite me no end. The real me; I merely have the honour of being a psychic imprint of the great Haemonculi Drecarus.”
“To think a Mon’keigh psyker could break her completely… if you meet the real me, could you tell me I should pay more attention to psykers? There’s so much more than can be useful for than just mere torture!”
Jerrick Kamris: “Don’t get too comfortable in here,” Jerrick says, narrowing his eyeholes. “What you’ve done to Alexandria is an abomination.”
Harbinger: if this is the psychic realm wouldn’t you have your eyes back
Jerrick Kamris: no i like to imagine myself without eyes
Harbinger: that’s fair
Jerrick Kamris: because i forgot what having them was like
and also what i looked like with them in the first place
Drecarus: “Oh, geniuses are never understood by the masses. Let alone by aliens. Every stitch was done with expert precision. Every second of her re-awakened pain is a dirge to the heavens themselves.”
“I don’t expect a human who can barely hold a dozen thoughts at once to comprehend, but this is true ART.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Look;” his hand brushes her face as she screams in pain. “She can’t even get rid of the memory of me. She so dearly wants to, but she cannot forget. Not anymore.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I’ll put a stop to this,” Jerrick says with a growl. “Look forward to it.” BREAK PROBE
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
you come back to awareness
She’s no longer staring at you.
All she’s saying is “TO-MO-ROW. TO-MO-ROW. TO-MO-ROW.;”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick takes a deep breath, calming himself. “Tomorrow, indeed.”
Harbinger: so was that consequence free for Jerry
the House needs to know
Tau: “[LG] That… that is ‘new’.”
Jerrick Kamris: hey i gained two insanity
Kahnak Rith: yeah he got two insanity
thx ng gming
Harbinger: I mean the LAST level
Rogue Trader GM (GM): He gave you
a psychotic enemy
that’s a consequence
Kahnak Rith: no thats xp
Rogue Trader GM (GM): xp
is a consequence
Harbinger: 1. that and 2. I agree but
I needed to know for betz
Rogue Trader GM (GM): yes consquence
WHAT’S EVERYONE ELSE DOING
Kahnak Rith: Shaper things to prepare for tomorrow
Mordecai:Collecting data on Rith
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The kroot are making what appears to be microbead calls.
Jerrick Kamris: did i get anything else from barrow
like fighting style/tactics etc
or was it just weird visions
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Barrow favours melee, like her spiritual successor
Unlike her she prefers to wield a back up weapon for pesky enemies who don’t stay in melee
She was an expert at ambushes, but it’s hard to say if any of THAT remains now.
Por’la Kel’mara :“How do these… fights tend to play out?” Kel asks the Tau. “Simply dropped off in a pit, and told to go? hidden in places, playing cat and mouse? Or…”
Tau: “[Tau] Any and all. Sometimes we are dropped off together and must fight. Sometimes we are told to head to some part of the arena to escape. Sometimes we must kill our opponents for tokens; those without enough tokens are slain at the end of the day.”
“They usually deliver us by the eldar’s FTL technology.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“I see. Variety for entertainment, I suppose.”
Danielle Seamus: “If any of you require the Emperor’s blessing or my absolution, I will be at your disposal until they take us.”
Por’la Kel’mara :“If it does not involve being shot at, or held a tgunpoint…”
Jerrick Kamris: “It might be of benefit,” Jerrick says, looking to the masked woman. “Tomorrow will be a… Trying day.”
Harbinger: (Confession requires you to actually confess what you consider your sins)
(Blessing is just a blessing)
Jerrick Kamris: oh
well confession would take all night
so just a blessing for me~
Danielle Seamus: “A spiritu dominatus,
Domine, libra nos,

Old Man: AWMEN."
Danielle Seamus: The next gain of Corruption is reduced by 1.

Tau: “Remember; cash in your influence before you enter their portal tommorrow. Get them togive you weapons. or better armour, or maps. Do not make the mistake of demanding them, but find more… subtle methods.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): That is his last piece of advice as he curls up to sleep
Por’la Kel’mara nods. “I understand. I will let the others know as well.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): SLEEP MUSIC IF NO-ONE ELSE CARES
Mordecai:doo doo doo
Jerrick Kamris: ya np
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You wake up to the boots of the Kabalites.
Danielle Seamus: still don’t technically have light sleeper
Jerrick Kamris: i do~
Danielle Seamus : *YAWN*
Jerrick Kamris: hup
Danielle Seamus: I’m not even paranoid
Eldar: “[LG] The dregs are still here? Good. Then you will have to fight twice as hard to make up for the dead.”

Kahnak Rith: “That offer is not so good when food will come to me in the arena.”
Jerrick Kamris: your fate has turned you into an even worse liar
Danielle Seamus : *shit-eating grin*
Eldar: “[LG] Ha. It does not matter. Almost everyone else is re-captured. Or dead.” She nods at the kroot. “Your informing us is appreciated. We will provide you with maps, as promised, Kroot.”
Danielle Seamus: wait there were WITNESSES
Kahnak Rith: we maybe should have been
Danielle Seamus: augh
Jerrick Kamris: yes
Kahnak Rith: a little more secretive
Jerrick Kamris: so
Kahnak Rith: we were all in a big room
Danielle Seamus: I haven’t been very clear on the layout
Por’la Kel’mara :
Danielle Seamus: ughhhhhhh
Por’la Kel’mara :*>__________>
Kahnak Rith: we’re in a big room with glowing purple walls and a glass floor iirc
also a glass ceiling
so people can watch from above
Danielle Seamus: I thought that included interposing walls but that’s my fault for ASSUMING
Kahnak Rith: well hopefully they didn’t kill lee
we just have to save her
Jerrick Kamris: when you assuming you make an ass out of u and ming
Kahnak Rith: she’s still contract-bound
Forbidden Kindred Leader: “[LG] We take boon with thanks; but it is our better honour to ruin the plans of the traitor Kahnak Rith and her employers. We spit on their names, and their meat, in the name of myself HRRITHCK.”
Danielle Seamus: and then the whole how did they locate them in such a big city considering they have no psykers
anyway, no time to ruminate on that
Rogue Trader GM (GM): They just said
Danielle Seamus: literally killing striking that kroot
Rogue Trader GM (GM): ’they’re attacking a port’
‘be on guard in ports’
‘pls give us maps’
Kahnak Rith: “It matters not, you will be killed and devoured regardless.”
god there goes all our favor
Rith: “You will end up like Charlabelle and the Maknor Kindred. Your meat will not even be devoured, your genes scattered to ash.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): er
Danielle Seamus leaps in front of the snitching kroot with a murderous intent that hasn’t been activated in a… long time. “s0oNerrrrr THaN yoU thiNK”
Kahnak Rith: I didn’t say that
Hrrithck: AS THIS GUY
Danielle Seamus: Killing strike frenzied dual lightning attack.
Wrath of the Righteous, Miracle Worker’d.
Eldar: “Yes, threats.” The kabalites sound bored. Who wants to go through first? They will be the first to meet the wild beasts we have today. Your mission is to reach the top of the arena."
Old Man: “OOO! OOO! PICK ME!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Your attacks go right through him.
Jerrick Kamris: 2SpOoKy

Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick looks to the old man. "I’d advise waiting a few moments before continuing through."
Old Man: “Yeaaaaah. Can I get a different place from her? I wanted the wild beasts.”
Eldar: “Of course. It’s no fun if you die STRAIGHT away.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The portal changes colour.
The Old Man hands Jerrick something as he passes by and jumps into the portal with a smug smile backwards
He finally reveals his face to you all.
Danielle Seamus: god
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Despite the degredation of age, it’s astonishingly familiar.
Mordecai:i think i found
(To Jerrick Kamris): as he passes you, you lose sight for a second.
Jerrick Kamris: “…”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The portal changes colour again.
Eldar: “[Eldar] Sp, who’s next?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): END SESSION
Jerrick Kamris: i’ll go next~
Mordecai:“It is a shame I do not have my tools with me, it would be much more fun if I could cut him up instead of beating him to death.”
Jerrick Kamris: also what did he give me
