Shino G.: FIRST
Mordecai: YOU LOSE, MG
MysteryGuy: and in that
Jerrick Kamris: i have already won
Mandala Sigyn: so we’re chasing after Danielle, correct?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Hmm
Mordecai: we’re proving we’re not heretics
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Wait for Tormak/Dauros or go?
Jerrick Kamris: well right now
Mordecai: and selling stuff to mars
to prepare
Jerrick Kamris: we need to-yeah
we need to clear our names
Mordecai: then chasing danielle
Jerrick Kamris: (let’s wait for tormyros)
Mordecai: ^
Jerrick Kamris: (or just dauros)
Mordecai: whateva
Rogue Trader GM (GM): whichever one is first!
Jerrick Kamris: anyway we need to clear our names with the inquisition and the admech
so we can buy some sweet stuff from terra
slash mars
Mordecai: probably using the latter to help with the former
since we got a lot of junk for the admech
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (They’d both said we’d be late)
Jerrick Kamris: well we can’t talk to the admech before the inquisition
Mordecai: you’re a RADIO
Rogue Trader GM (GM): I realise I said the Inquisitor communication was ready, but you can probably cajole the space wolves into letting you send other messages first
Jerrick Kamris: oh
well
we’ll push for a delay then
so we can get good ol’ fabricator-general on our side
Mordecai: it’s pretty important we deal with that first imooo
Jerrick Kamris: ya
Mandala Sigyn: probably a good idea
Rogue Trader GM (GM): alright
Mandala Sigyn: So I guess it’s time to go full Phoenix Wright
Jerrick Kamris: pls avoid volunteering information tho
unless absolutely necessary
we don’t want them knowing we have a titan, for example
if we can just sell it instead
we’re already going to be giving away an STC as it is
right they also have no reason to trust or believe anything we say
Jerrick Kamris: so telling them about dani and dracul and all that right away will probably not help
Mandala Sigyn: Can we take back a chunk of the void dragon with us?
Jerrick Kamris: that would uh
likely get us shot
on sight
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You can try and conceal it!
Mandala Sigyn: No, I want to show it to them
like shoving a dog’s nose in shit
“Look at this mess you made. Look at it!”
Jerrick Kamris: well that’s all well and good but
they probably wouldn’t even know what it is
Mandala Sigyn: ah
Jerrick Kamris: it’s not like void dragons are flying around
Mandala Sigyn: well, I’ll have to do it without the chunk of void dragon
Jerrick Kamris: terrorizing villages
Mordecai: even if they did they could blame US for it even being there
Jerrick Kamris: yeah
we’re kinda in hot shit right now
Mordecai: we need to stick to the concrete things we can back up
which is that we have things
Jerrick Kamris: this is less about convincing them we’re in the right
and more about
getting the fabricator-general on our side
Mordecai: ‘bribing them’
Jerrick Kamris: by bribing him with delicious tech
her*
it*
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *her
Jerrick Kamris: whatever
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *it
dang it
Jerrick Kamris: then having her vouch for us
Mordecai: *xir
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *it
*him
(Mordecai knows that the General is technically female for all that actually matters to someone as modified as the leader of Mars)
Jerrick Kamris: time to lay on that techpriest charm mordey
Mordecai: i didn’t take this good rep for nothin
Jerrick Kamris: ugh i also need to find out what the heck that new primaris project is all about
though that’ll have to wait until after we’re in good w/ the inquisition
Rogue Trader GM (GM): techpriest charm is
technically logic
Mordecai: the new sidequest
Rogue Trader GM (GM): iirc
Mordecai: that can be lumped in with navigatorlander
Rogue Trader GM (GM): hmm
giving dauros and tormak
10 more minutes >_>
Mordecai: fair
we can’t NOT hit up terra sometime
Jerrick Kamris: give me back my eyes emperordo
Mordecai: when we leave
apple trees as far as the eye can see
Captain N. Barrow: BARROW DA BESS
Mandala Sigyn: and I have a lot of stuff to take care of on Terra as well
hey Barrow
Mordecai: navighlander
Jerrick Kamris: oh right
if you did make a claim or w/e and just decided to tell veda to eff off that would probably help us too
<.
<
Mordecai: having the navigator queen on our side WOULD be swell
The Space Wolves’s mouths narrow at your request. They make it quite clear that if the General asks for them to turn you over, they will have to, with some excuse about picking you up along with their battle brother.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): GAME START
Jerrick Kamris: “You will do what you must, just as we will do what we must.”
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow yawns loudly.
“Did I nap?”
Mandala Sigyn: “I believe the correct term is ‘knocked unconscious,’ captain.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh. Did we get any apple trees yet?”
“Did I have a baby?”
Jerrick Kamris: “…No, captain.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Did Mordy grow out his hair?”
Mordecai: “Never.”
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow sighs. “What an unproductive nap.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Right now, we are attempting to not be slain by a chapter of space marines. Perhaps you would care to assist, captain?”
Jerrick Kamris: “I believe we should hurry in our task, instead of idly chatting. Time is of the essence.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh, that should be easy. It’s really hard for them to kill me for some reason.”
Barrow beams.
Space Wolves: “You are doing fairly well so far!”
Captain N. Barrow: “I’m pretty good at what I do.”
“So why are they trying to kill us?”
“I’d say we’ve been a net benefit to the Imperium.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Noble astartes, we need to prevent an apocalyptic scenario that has been precipitated by former Inquisitor Dracul.”
“We require your aid.”
Jerrick Kamris: (ps we don’t need to convince the space wolves of anything right now we just need to get the fabricator-general of mars on the phone)
Space Wolf: The leader with the runic tattoos shaked his head slightly. “If you wish to contact the Mechanicum, it can be arranged. You have brought Brother Skaldr back to our ranks. All I am saying is we are not fighting a war with Mars over you.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Of course, sir astartes. That will be sufficient.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Not even for the saint that fought Calgar to a sandstill.”
*standstill
Captain N. Barrow: “Psht, I had that won until he went back on his word.”
Barrow pouts.
“Wait I’m a SAINT.”
“Am I Saint N or Saint Barrow do I get to pick? Do I get to be a patron saint? Can I be the saint of apples? Where is my seneshcal I want to brainstorm.”
Mordecai: “Our lives are forfeit in any case if we cannot regain honor with the Mechanicum, there will be no need for battle.”
Space Wolf: “Did no-one tell thee?” The Space Wolf rumbles out a laugh. “This room to your left is one of our communications arrays, primed by an Iron Priest. If you wish to damn yourselves, go ahead.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Man, I fought a spider like twenty times your size. A phone isn’t going to scare me.”
Mandala Sigyn: “We will not damn ourselves, astartes. We will save the Imperium, in spite of itself.”
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow struts in.
Mandala Sigyn follows Barrow.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick sighs, following the captain.
Mordecai: clank clank clank
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh you’re supposed to be the talker aren’t you?”
“I forget protocol when I just wake up.”
Jerrick Kamris: “The protocol is whatever you wish it to be, captain.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Yes, I would prefer to do the talking, if you do not mind.”
Captain N. Barrow: “I will find something else to do.” Barrow finds something else to study.
And maybe fiddle with.
“Ooh Mordy what does -this- do?”
Mandala Sigyn: (and barrow completes his transformation into Dee Dee)
*her
“Very well.” Mandala turns on the radio array. “Fabricator-General. I am Mandala Sigyn, of House Sigyn. We must speak.”
Mordecai: “It would do well to have a Saint speaking for us, at least for the Inquisition.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): An unfamiliar mess of machinery appears on the screen. “I AM ADJUTANT-NODE 504 TO THE HIGH LADY OF TERRA, LORD-RULER OF MARS. YOU ARE IDENTIFIED AS HERETEK MANDALA OF NAVIGATOR HOUSE SIGYN. WE ARE AWAITING YOUR SURRENDER.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh don’t surrender.”
“There are a lot of things you CAN do, but surrender isn’t it.”
Mordecai: “Tell them we wish to speak directly in regards to the STC still currently in our possession.”
Mandala Sigyn: “There will be no surrender today, Fabricator-General. I wish to clear our names.”
“But first, let us speak of the STC in our possession.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There is a fraction of a second pause, long enough for the spinning wolf skulls attached to the array to finish a full rotation. “THE STC YOU THREATENED TO DESTROY.”
The voice’s timbre is the same as the last ‘node’ you talked to.
Mandala Sigyn: “We never actually intended to destroy it,” Mandala says. “We just needed to get down here and accomplish our mission, and you seemed very intent on ensuring it wouldn’t happen.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “WE HAVE RESOURCES BEYOND ANY A ROGUE TRADER DYNASTY POSSESSES. VALUABLE RESOURCES SPENT TRACKING YOU INSTEAD OF THREATS.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Ooh, offer to do a mission for them.”
“We’re really good at missions.”
Mordecai: “What we have threatened to do has no bearing on us having the STC at present and now wishing to return it, under conditions we must discuss.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “CONTINUE.”
Mordecai: “Revocation of the charges of heresy against the Barrow Dynasty and those connected to it, and allowing for discussion of further trade matters.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “YOU WISH TO BRIBE A HIGH LORD OF TERRA?”
Captain N. Barrow: “What part of rogue do they not get?”
“‘We will call them ROGUE traders. Wait, why are they doing ROGUEish things?’” Barrow adopts a stuffy accent.
“Am I right?”
Mordecai: “We wish to follow through on returning what we have intended to return, the delay in its return has not changed our mission. However, if we are executed that will make returning it… difficult. As well, the great wealth of data I have collected that would be of great interest to the Divisio Biologis would be lost as well.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Also we’re incredibly useful. Tell them how useful we are.”
Mandala Sigyn: “So much for me doing the talking,” Mandala mutters.
Mordecai: “It is true, proof of use can be found in that the Barrow Dynasty has recovered a great deal of sacred archeotech from throughout the galaxy, including but not limited to a Jovian-pattern Nova Cannon.”
“…I apologize if I am overstepping my bounds, Novator.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “ARCHEOTEACH NOVA-CANNONS ARE RARE. IN OTHER SYSTEMS.”
Jerrick Kamris: “It’s probably best if you’re the one to negotiate anyway, tech-priest,” Jerrick says quietly.
Mordecai: “The point of that scenario is not any attempt to bribe you with valuable archeotech, but rather to demonstrate the Barrow Dynasty and associates goals are within line of the Mechanicum, in this example recovering lost technology from xenos theft or otherwise.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “AND HOUSE SIGYN?”
Mordecai: Look to MANDY.
Mandala Sigyn: “What about House Sigyn? Right now, there are only three official members of the House, and we all serve the Barrow Dynasty.”
Mordecai: “And now we are returning the STC, as well as offering a wealth of data I have personally collected in the name of the Mechanicum. Do these acts logically connect to the actions of heretics who has forsaken the Imperium?”
who HAVE*
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “THERE ISA 33% PROBABILITY YOU ARE A HEIR APPARENT.”
Mandala Sigyn: “You mean for the Paternova? No, that is the other woman of House Sigyn.”
“Veda.”
“I am afraid I am not in the running for that position.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The ‘node’ falls silent. “THE TRADE IS ACCEPTABLE.”

Mordecai:

Rogue Trader GM (GM): “IF THE STC IS UNDAMAGED, OUR ACCUSATION AGAINST THE HOUSE OF BARROW AND THE HOUSE OF SIGYN IS WITHDRAWN.”
Jerrick Kamris: gj mordey
Mandala Sigyn: “We thank you for your benefice, Fabricator-General.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “INFORM YOUR FAMILY OF MARS MAGNANIMITY LADY SIGYN, AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE.”
Mordecai: “I will expect the Inquisitor to be informed, else return of the STC be further delayed by their inanity.”
time to pull it out of my coil
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “THE INQUISITOR HAS ALREADY BEEN INFORMED. WE ARE IN DISCUSSION.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Convenient.”
Mordecai: “Understood. We will have the Astartes bring us down with the STC as soon as possible.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): (STC TRADE COMPLETE, +10PF)
Mordecai: oh man
Jerrick Kamris: (yesss)
Mordecai: what’s that bring our pf to
also is that counter
Jerrick Kamris: i wasn’t even expecting to get anything from that
Mordecai: counting
HARD

Rogue Trader GM (GM): “YOU SPOKE OF FURTHER TRADE. THIS NODE IS NOT REQUIRED FOR 0.1 ROTATIONS OF MARS. SPEAK.”
it
is not
so that’s what
13?
Mordecai: kelly, mandy, barrow
i think so
Jerrick Kamris: yeah, seems like it
Mandala Sigyn: Yay hard bargain!
Mordecai: “We have discovered the location of an intact and functional Scout-class Titan.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “WARHOUND-CLASS TITAN’THE MARTIAN VENTURE’ HAS ALREADY BEEN RECOVERED.”
Mordecai: ‘argh’
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TRADE IT TWICE.”
Mordecai: so much for selling mars property to mars
Jerrick Kamris: it was worth a shot
Mordecai: “Then further discussion will wait until the arrival of our fleet, on which I have a wealth of data on the anomalous Tau xenos and on the Navigator gene in relation to the Paternova event.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN TRADED. IT CANNOT BE TRADED TWICE.”
Mordecai: argh he filched that with the stc
Mandala Sigyn: “…It has been traded already?”
Jerrick Kamris: oh well
we got 13 pf
out of all this
Rogue Trader GM (GM): you didn’t give him
any data!
Jerrick Kamris: that’s
actually true
Mordecai: “We have not given you any data. The previous agreement was, as stated, for the return of the undamaged STC.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “THAT IS CORRECT. YOU DID NOT.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Then how did you obtain this information- oh, of course, it was technically true. Someone else traded it to you.”
Mordecai: KEDANNNN
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Yes.”
*YES
Jerrick Kamris: “Unfortunate.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “AS HAVE THE PRISONERS OF THE SOJOURN, TO FORESTALL FURTHER ATTEMPTS.”
Mordecai: argh i can’t even sell my MENTOR
Mandala Sigyn: “This is Danielle’s fault, isn’t it?”
Jerrick Kamris: “…In return for what, precisely?”
Mordecai: “In some way, probably.”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): “NEGATIVE. INQUISITORIAL SEAL.”
Mordecai: Daniii
Mandala Sigyn: “I’m going to wring her neck when I find her.”
Captain N. Barrow: “What if I ask really nicely?”
Mandala Sigyn sighs. “Do we have anything left to trade, or has it all been sold off without our permission already?”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick ponders for a moment, before nodding. “We can ask the inquisitor on hand about it.”
Mordecai: “Jerry raises a good point. Nothing further to discuss at the moment here.”
TO THE INQUISITOR
Captain N. Barrow: “Wait we know an inquisitor that isn’t Uncle Dracul or Harby? … Our luck with Inquisitors isn’t the best is it?”
Mordecai: don’t forget DROZE
Mandala Sigyn: “No, they seem to be an undependable lot.”
“And vindictive.”
Mordecai: “I think he is referring to the one here to arrest us for heresy.”
Mandala Sigyn: “My statement stands.”
Jerrick Kamris: “There is one waiting to speak with us right now, captain. We are in a considerably better position to deal with her now, however.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Speak with… us?” Barrow looks at Mandy. “That means I get to talk!”
Mordecai: “…I will leave the negotiating in that case to you, Lord-Captain, Novator.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Yes, Barrow, you do get to talk.”
Mordecai: “Let us go tell the Astartes we are prepared.”
Mandala Sigyn: let’s go find the astartes
Mordecai: they’re right outside
probably
Rogue Trader GM (GM): They are!
You are taken to a room with runes inscribed in the walls with what you can but hope is animal blood. Under guard by a group of blinded men and women is an astropath wrapped in chains. As the Wolves bring you in they make warding signs, and the astropath turns to Jerrick.
“M-message received from Inquisit- Bru-brunhilde. Several mmmmmmminutes delay.”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick simply raises an eyebrow.
Mandala Sigyn: “Why is she chained? Is she unstable?”
Jerrick Kamris: “This is normal treatment for many Astropaths, Navigator.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I thought that’s what the Trials of the Emperor were for.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Do you… like chains?”
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick barks out a harsh laugh, and shakes his head. “No, those are to see if we are worthy of… This. Few have the strength to withstand the voice of the cosmos, Navigator. Fewer still are strong enough to bear it when it vanishes.”
Runed Wolf: “Sometimes she bites off her own flesh. It is for the best.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The other wolves shake their heads and glare darkly at Jerrick
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick just grins. “I will receive this message, then.”
do i have to roll something for it or what
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Nope
She just jerks her head, then starts babbling. “Seamus is a traitor. Unfortunate. I thought she was beyond the rrrrreach of her f f f f former master.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Not quite. We believe something else has taken hold of her, though that’s just supposition, at the moment. A great many questions still remain unanswered.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There is a minute’s uncomfortable silence. “Ruinous powers, or our draconic friend? Either way, problematic. She will have to be assassinated before the Terran conclave.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Likely. Though, we have to catch her first.”
Astropath: “You have rescinded the accusation of heresy in some manner. Good. I need you alive to interrogate. Clearing Danielle’s name is less fortunate.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Wait does that mean I’m gonna have to duel Harby at some point?”
“I mean I’m good with a sword, but she’s scary.”
Astropath: “Please explain to the Lord-Captain that Danielle must be killed at all costs.”
Jerrick Kamris: “We will deal with her, Captain, one way or another. You may find yourself preoccupied with your husband, however.”
Astropath: “Last reports of the Harbinger Sojourn has it heading towards the outer rim. I assume Kedan Barrow-Brace has been compromised?”
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh who knows with him.”
“He might have seen a whip he had to have.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Likely, though I’ve already taken steps to regain control of the Sojourn. They’ll have to find some other way to reach their goal.”
Mordecai: “The agreement Danielle made with the Mechanicus may shed light on those methods.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Indeed. We know what Seamus gave them, but what did they give her?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Who knows, but we might have them on the hook for heresy.”
“I mean, besides the heresies they’re already responsible for.”
Astropath: This reply comes slightly quicker than the last. “I would not try and accuse a High Lord of Terra of heresy.”
Mordecai: “Yes, especially when we are so shortly back in her good graces.”
Mandala Sigyn: “True.”
Mordecai: “Is it possible for another Inquisitor to break an Inquisitorial seal, Seamus’s for example?”

Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yes.
Mandala Sigyn: (hang on, guys, family just decided to visit)
Mordecai: “In the interests of pursuing Inquisitor Seamus, I request the removal of the Inquisitorial seal on the agreement of trade between the Mechanicum and the Barrow Dynasty concerning the prisoners of the Harbinger’s Sojourn and various genetics data.”
Brunhilde: “…Granted. But as a High Lord, the Fabricator-General may still be concealing part of the trade.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It takes minutes for a reluctant clerk to ferry the information back; Inquisitor Seamus offered the Titan, Heretek Pson-67, and an unknown xenos artefact only recorded as ‘Specimen in Stasis’.
Captain N. Barrow: …
She gave them our Amunet. :

Rogue Trader GM (GM): also Tau Data
everyone praise Kel’mara
Mordecai: praise kelly
Tormak: I’m the best Tau.
Jerrick Kamris: “Hmm. They should probably be informed about what that specimen is, exactly,” Jerrick muses. “They weren’t exactly forthcoming about what they gave to her then, hmm? Unfortunate.”
Mordecai: how do you feel about mind probing a high lord of terra
Jerrick Kamris: : D
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It appears that what Seamus got in return was a clearing of her name.
…
And yours.
Jerrick Kamris: w-e-l-p
Rogue Trader GM (GM): There is a cheerful note about neither side knowing until the transaction is done ‘doubling trade efficiency’
Jerrick Kamris: dangit we coulda got more for that STC
Mordecai: rabble rabble

we got swindled by the ADMECH
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh good, now we have a get out of jail free card.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Hmm. That… Raises further questions.”
“But we’ll have to meet with Seamus for the answers to those, I believe.”
Captain N. Barrow: "We should go hunt down Bastille.
"
Kahnak Rith: bastille-senpai~
Mordecai: “We know where she is going, at least, regardless of how she is getting there.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Indeed.”
Mordecai: “She would not have told us to chase her if catching her was going to be impossible.”
Captain N. Barrow: “But that’s what she wants.”
“We should go the long way around and head her off.”
Jerrick Kamris: “…I don’t think it works that way, captain.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Dani is way smarter than me, so we need to do things I wouldn’t do.”
Mordecai: “We do not know if she is taking the long or short way.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Like team up with the Eldar and hit her at range with guns.”
“I MEAN PIRATES.”
“Pretend I called them pirates.”
Mordecai: stored in my total recall
Jerrick Kamris: in ink
Astropath: “It does not matter. With your navigator, you should reach Jericho in plenty of time. The problem is, where in Jericho is she heading?”
“A territory uncharted save by the Deathwatch in the last 5000 years, and I will be distracted with the conclave choosing the new High Inquisitor.”
Jerrick Kamris: “We’ll have to see. We have a route, but are unsure of where it leads.” Jerrick ponders for a moment, looking around the room. “I did wonder about one more thing that you may have an answer to, however, though knowledge of it is a bit… Sensitive, to say the least.”
“Related to one of Dracul’s old projects.”
Astropath: “Aaaaaabelia.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Indeed.”
Captain N. Barrow: “The witchy wife!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “She is part of the restarted Primaris Ploris project. According to Dracul’s notes she was fit for little more than feeding the Emperor’s Flame, but he showed mercy of a kind. U-u-unlike him.”
“Did you guys ever think maybe the God Emperor just needs an apple or two?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Everyone in the room stares at Barrow.
Captain N. Barrow: “Or three?”
“He’s probably hungry.”
Jerrick Kamris: After a minute or two of staring at Barrow, Jerrick continues. “That was at Seamus’s behest. I’d be interested to know if this new project bore any fruit. The original, after all, is what set Dracul on his mad dash across the Imperium.”
“…I’d also like to point out that the original was also on a world which was devoured in its entirety by the forces of Chaos,” Jerrick adds.
Astropath: “Yessss. Which was also in D-D-Dracul’s notes. Piety. Danielle’s fault. If I had discovered them sooner…”
Captain N. Barrow: “Wait Harby caused all that?”
“Is that why she was acting so weird when we were there?”
Astropath: “Y-yessss. A young girl was infected by a host of the ruuuuuuinous powers. Instead of killing the girl, and burning her and her family of the taint, the sissisister showed an unforgivable sin: mercy. The wages of sin were paid in fullllll.”
“She even protected the daemon against actions from her sisters. Her weakness damned a world.”
“She should nevereverever been allowed to live.”
Jerrick Kamris: “So that’s what she’s been on about the whole time. Hmph.”
Captain N. Barrow: “Who was the girl?”
(SYLVIA TREBOLGIA)
Jerrick Kamris: “I suppose telling her that Madrimar enabled it doesn’t help.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “A daughter of some noble house, as far as Dracul’s interrogation notes are to be trusteeeeed. Splerk. Her soul is long gone. What does it matter?”
Captain N. Barrow: “I’m dangerously curious, sorry.”
Barrow folds her arms and pouts.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick frowns for a moment, then speaks up. “…I’d also like to know why the Primaris project was started again in the first place, if you would be so kind. With the sort of results the original produced… I’m rather averse to the idea of another one being started, especially in the heart of the Imperium.”
Brunhilde: “You.”
“You were an unmitigated success. If one such being can be made, what does it matter if thousands more die? We need people like yyyyou, Kamris. Those born from the blood of lesser beings.”
Jerrick Kamris: “The Imperium needs fewer people like me,” Jerrick says quietly. “Not more.”
“That’s all, then,” he says with a sigh. “If you have no further questions, we have quite a lot of chasing to do.”
Brunhilde: “A full interrogation and check for corruption will be required. You have served two renegades. There will be queeeeestions.”
“But for now, nothing more. Ave Imperator. Do not fall to chaos. The day is bad enough already.”
The Astropath collapses.
Jerrick Kamris: “Well,” Jerrick looks to the collapsed Astropath, then to the others. “That’s that, then. We find ourselves with a bit of free time, if you have any other business within the system.”
Captain N. Barrow: “I need some Miracle Gro.”
“Also a fertility doc.”
Runed Astartes: “…The Fabricator General has delivered something to your captured ship, as well. A lot of things, judging from the cargo manifest. ‘Dragon Scale’? Some sort of trophy?”
Mordecai: “My armor!”
Jerrick Kamris: “Hmm…”
Mordecai: “On the subject of rare technology, if anyone wants something badly, now would be the time.”
Jerrick Kamris: “This must be more of Seamus’s handiwork. …Does she WANT us to stop her?”
Mordecai: “I did not think she was being honest, but it seems so.”

“Meanwhile they look at me and they say ‘I think the Captain is having a stroke again, look how funny her face is.’”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Iron Jake coughs behind Barrow. “I noticed.” He leers.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick glares at Jake.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Lee rolls her eyes and wanders off to find something approaching a bunk. “On Terra with nowhere to stay…”
Now what?
Mordecai: SHOPPING
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You’ve moved back to the ork ship, presumably
alright
Jerrick Kamris: SHOPPING
Mordecai: also uhhh i’m gonna operate on jerry
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Kel’mara gives you a house edge of +2.
Jerrick Kamris: how long until brunhilde gets here
Captain N. Barrow: Finding a fertility doctor.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Including Mordecai’s good rep
This is MARS baby
That’s easy enough to find- Mordecai technically is one
Captain N. Barrow: Ew no
Jerrick Kamris: how much total PF do we have right now
Captain N. Barrow: I can’t have a crew member looking at my girly bits.
Mordecai: 139 with the edge, if the wiki is accurate
Jerrick Kamris: excellent
…god we’re on mars and i don’t even know what to get
Mordecai: a walker
Jerrick Kamris: god we’re on mars and i don’t even know what to get that i can use
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Indeed Mordecai
Captain N. Barrow: Get me a present.
It’s okay I don’t know what to get either.
Since I have no idea if I can upgrade Vaul
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Barrow auto-finds a fertility doctor
‘yur pragnant’
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh. You didn’t pronounce it right.”
Jerrick Kamris: hmm
i might just stick with the armor i got from dracul
it’s comfy and easy to wear
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Your doctor recommends no warp journeys in the immediate 7 months
unless you want a horrible mutant baby
Or even worse a listless child that doesn’t take initiativ
Jerrick Kamris: : D
well let’s assume for the time being that i buy a number of things and that they are delivered in a timely manner
Mordecai: same
Jerrick Kamris: then i can figure it out over the week~
i mean it’s mars i wanna get GOOD stuff
Rogue Trader GM (GM): tormak and mandala are distracted I guess we can
just do shopping
Mordecai: yeah with half the players dead
probably best
Jerrick Kamris: riiiiiiiiiip
Captain N. Barrow: “Oh, I’ll have to let them know we’re taking the VERY long way around.”
Por’la Kel’mara : I’M SORRY
Mordecai: oh hai kelly
Captain N. Barrow: Barrow goes to find Mandy and let her know.
If we’re just shopping
I’m gonna go get food.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
Mordecai: momentum seems to have CRASHED
Por’la Kel’mara : crashed like my dick
Rogue Trader GM (GM): What’s your plans
AFTER shopping?
I know Mandala presumably wants to visit earth
and her house’s old grounds
Jerrick Kamris: Hmm
Mordecai: I’m gonna get inside jerry
Jerrick Kamris: right there is that
Mordecai: as long as he gives me that sweet librarian info
Por’la Kel’mara : i don’t think i have anything beside sensuring my continued survival while being axenos in the terra system
Mordecai: >_>
Jerrick Kamris: well yes
Mordecai: kelly wanna watch me open jerry’s head?
Por’la Kel’mara : of COURSE
Jerrick Kamris: pls no
this is just between jerry and morde
Mordecai: fiiine
Por’la Kel’mara : dang
Mordecai: for this sweet info
sorry kelly
Jerrick Kamris: nobody else can know about it
Por’la Kel’mara : otp jer-rick n mordy
Mordecai: mordy’s good at keeping secrets
Por’la Kel’mara : *good at selling secrets

so that’s good
Mandala Sigyn: (sorry about that, guys)
(had to go cook two dinners)
(where are we)
Mordecai: (doing stuff until our fleet arrives i think)
(SHOPPING for example though that’s happening between sessions)
Mandala Sigyn: (okay)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Danielle sent you your stuff along with a note, and you’re all back at the ork ship you stole
Jerrick Kamris: we could get a new ship
if we wanted
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You could!
Are you?
Jerrick Kamris: eh
we don’t really need to
we can hitch a ride with the space wolves
Mandala Sigyn: depends on whether this ship is warp-capable
Jerrick Kamris: until we hook up with the rest of our fleet
Mandala Sigyn: oh that’s true
Mordecai: yeah ships are still PRETTY expensive
even as grossly rich as we are
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You could
burn
pf
Mordecai: never
say
that
Rogue Trader GM (GM): So what are you going to do?
Mandala Sigyn: well, Mandala’s going to see if she can get Veda to Earth for the heir apparent shit
Rogue Trader GM (GM): It’ll be a few months in real time before the ships arrive.
You are welcome to go to earth, of course- all Navigator houses have plots on Terra.
Jerrick Kamris: maybe just clear the way for her
Rogue Trader GM (GM): even those who chose the path of the nomads
Mandala Sigyn: Yeah, she would like to visit, although I don’t want to take attention away from everyone else
especially since I may be pulled away again at any time
Por’la Kel’mara : time to remember all of earth with totla recall
Jerrick Kamris: well i don’t really have anything pressing to do here
Por’la Kel’mara : ^
Mordecai: same
mordy did most of what he wanted
Jerrick Kamris: did you sell the astartes info
Mordecai: dani sold all his data he could have used to apply for magoshood ;~;
Jerrick Kamris: for more profit
Mordecai: wait i still have THAT i can use to apply for magoshood
depending on what it is
let mandy do her thing tho
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Yeah there’s not much people wnat to DO on earth except you, Mandala
and Kel but
he’s afk too
Mordecai: we could go take back jerry’s eyes
Por’la Kel’mara : I’m here!
Jerrick Kamris: i was considering maybe helping out w/ that primaris thingy but they probably already have all of dracul’s notes and don’t need me
and also i hate it
Mandala Sigyn: Alright, let’s get started with Navigator shit- Mandy’s gonna visit her plot
and/or manor
Rogue Trader GM (GM): *and
The orkoid ship moves to Terra in a matter of days. Despite the Inquisitorial clearance it takes hours before they let you down, and only after a dozen scans of you all. The xenos are strictly forbidden, of course. Mandala is finally granted access down to the planet with her ‘entourage’.
Por’la Kel’mara siiiiiigh~
A shuttle arrives to take you down. As it transports all those who wish to go down, you can see a thousand more like it, covered in icons and relics of long lost saints, slowly descending towards the giant continent-sized complex that takes up most of the planet; the Imperial Palace. Home of the God-Emperor of Mankind. The shuttle you’re on takes a different tact to a set of artificial gardens grown on top of ancient mountains; the homes of the Navis Nobilitae
Mandala Sigyn: “Remember, while on Terra, you are under me. At least, while the Rites of Succession are ongoing.”
Captain N. Barrow: “That’s gross.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I meant that you are subservient to me, not that I am sitting on you.”
Your shuttle lands. You can hear through the metal the sound of a choir- cherubs flood the skies singing hymns. The manor of House Sigyn has been kept in pristine condition, despite no Navigator visiting it for millennia. A fat shrouded man is cutting leaves outside.
Mandala Sigyn: Mandala is decked out in her formal robes, with the staff bearing the symbol of House Sigyn and gilt shining from every surface. “You,” she says to the fat man. “I am the Novator of House Sigyn. I assume you are the caretaker?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The fat man drops his cutters and turns to sure a stitched face. He immediately runs at full pelt towards you screaming.
Mandala Sigyn braces herself for the impact. “Hold! Hold yourself!” she screams.
Mandala Sigyn: (is he trying to attack her?)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You don’t know
he’s just running at you.
Mandala Sigyn: Then she’s holding out her staff to crossbar the guy as he comes close.
Jerrick Kamris: Jerrick steps aside as the man runs at Mandala.
Mandala Sigyn: (brb)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The man runs right into the crossbar-
welp
Mandala Sigyn: (back, sorry)
Rogue Trader GM (GM): -and falls over.
You can see something bulging under his clothes, some collection of round spheres.
Mandala Sigyn: “Genetor, examine this man’s apparatus, if you would be so kind.”
Mordecai: “Will do.”
EXAMINING HIM
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
So Mandala and Mordecai are next to him?
Mordecai: oh god we’re gonna die
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Excellent
Mordecai, how are you examining him?
Mordecai: I’ll try to move his clothes so I can see the bomb he’s concealing
Mandala Sigyn: actually, Mandala’s standing a bit back
Mordecai: Or whatever else is under there
Mandala Sigyn: just because she thinks he’s gross
Mordecai: Rolling whatever applicable lore when I can
To know what the heck this guy is
Rogue Trader GM (GM): He’s concealing
a bomb yes
You can see his hand slackening on some sort of trigger
Mandala Sigyn: “Everyone, get the hell away!”
Mandala Sigyn runs.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Agility check

Rogue Trader GM (GM): You get out of range as a plasma bomb detonates.
Mordecai: “Ah, plasma.”
Jerrick Kamris: “Unsurprising,” Jerrick murmurs as the ringing in his ears dies down.
Mandala Sigyn: “Emperor damn it, I can’t be on my own property for five seconds without an assassination attempt!”
Jerrick Kamris: “Be thankful the first attempt was so clumsy. There will be others, I’m sure.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I’m going to find whoever did this and turn them into a black outline on the wall!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Another figure runs out of a small irrigation ditch, wrapped in rags. “Oh deeeeear! Oh dearie dearie me! What will MISTRESS say!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Mistress?”
Jerrick Kamris: are they running away
Mandala Sigyn: “Who are you? Speak!”
Jerrick Kamris: pls answer before they get out of range of my crazy psychic powers
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “I am Nobody, mistress! Your ’umble servant!” The voice sounds like an old lady, but she’s bundled in so many protective gardening clothes you can’t make out anything.
“Oh, the old exploding man trick! I haven’t seen that in decades! Your great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather, he LOVED exploding people. Really did.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Ah, so you are the true caretaker,” Mandala says. “How did this man get on the property?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Dunno, mistress. I’ll have to ask security!”
Woman: “You ARE the mistress, aren’t you?” Her rags move forward to peer at Jerrick. “It’s not YOU, is it?”
Jerrick Kamris: “I lack the requisite number of eyes for such a thing. Also, I am a man.”
Mandala Sigyn: “I am Mandala Sigyn, Novator of House Sigyn, ma’am. This is my property, albeit not in the best of circumstances.”
“I bear the staff of my office as proof of my identity.”
Lady: “Oh, yes, yes! You look the spitting image of your mother! Whoever she was. Never saw her meself.”
Mandala Sigyn: “My mother is dead. As are most of the rest of the House.” Mandala looks grim. “Only three of us remain, but I intend to remedy that soon.”
“Now, woman, tell me your name.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Nobody.”
Mandala Sigyn: “You are named Nobody?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “All of my line are, my lady. Ever since yer great-great… something.. great-grand mother said servants didn’t deserve names! Oh, she was a right laugh, I hear. Shakti the Bloodthirsty.”
Mandala Sigyn: “Hmm. Regardless of personal value, it’s inconvenient for everyone to have the same name.” She stands in thought. “From now on, you will respond to the name ‘Rose.’ I shall deal with naming everyone else later.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Er… everyone else?”
Mandala Sigyn: “…You are the only one here?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “No! No, of course not, mistress! A thousand servants wait yer beck and call!”
Ruby: “I’m just the only one still alive!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Then how, pray tell, would they be at my beck and call?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Well. You can call ‘em. I can’t promise an ANSWER, but you can call them. And some of them got cog boy’d- begging yer pardon, sir techpriest.”
Mandala Sigyn: “So I have one living servant and a few hundred servitors. Fantastic,” Mandala says, putting her hand over her eyes. “Okay, the first order of business is getting this place restaffed with real, living humans. Then we need to work on getting some security in here, because I am not going to fend off plasma bombs every time I walk down the street!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Oh, don’t worry about that mistress. Killing civilians is regarded as very undignified! They won’t do that until everything else fails!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Then I shall simply need to worry about poison, fire, psychic powers, and other assaults,” Mandala says sarcastically. “Just… just give me the tour, please.”
Ruby: “Y-yes, Ma’am!”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): The mansion is impressive; while she doesn’t show you all of the grounds, there’s acres and acres of lush foilage, and the mansion itself is vast with gun emplacements on top of most of the roof, albeit with no-one to man them, and boltholes complete with running water and self-powered auger arrays to rest for poison.
There are a lot of servitors, who Ruby has numbered, and who she talks to quite a bit. “Getting a bit fat there, number 2! Kahahahaha! How are the kids? Really? Wonderful!”
Mandala Sigyn: “Ruby, have you considered getting a cat? Or twenty?”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “A what now?”
Mandala Sigyn: “Nevermind, let’s just keep going.”
Jerrick Kamris: “I miss my cat,” Jerrick mutters.
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Ruby shows you the pantry- well-stocked with army rations like Soylent Veridien and little else- and the party room, a set of cobwebbed tables and chairs showing paintings of horrible mutants.
“The pit for your family too, ah, far gone is below. No-one’s been chained against their will their for millenia, mistress! Maybe you’ll be there one day!”
Mandala Sigyn: “I hope not, Ruby. I intend to remain at my current state of mutation for as long as possible.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): “Well, never say never!”
Ruby finishes up with your bed chambers, which are next to the torture chambers (“You know how Imperial nobility are, sometimes guests need serenading to sleep!”)
Mandala Sigyn: “I question the tastes of my predecessors. Regardless, thank you, Ruby. Now if you can begin the process of getting more employees and some actual, non-awful food in here, that would be fantastic.”
Rogue Trader GM (GM): With your PF
<that will be trivial.
Trained security will require a bit more.
Jerrick Kamris: i can help screen them
:D
Rogue Trader GM (GM): yes let the psyker with reprogram mind
at your security
Jerrick Kamris: hey that takes forever to actually do anything more than delete memories
Mordecai: i can help program servitors for security
Mandala Sigyn: what do I roll for trained security?
Mordecai: murder servitors solve everything
Mandala Sigyn: Murder servitors make me get new staff
Jerrick Kamris: you’re rich what do you care
Mordecai: mandy’s got those weird things what do you call’em
MORALS
Jerrick Kamris: gross
i hope it’s not contagious
Captain N. Barrow: Doubt it
Look at Barrow.
Mandala Sigyn: anyway, what would I need to roll?
Rogue Trader GM (GM): hmm
let’s say infantry
availability is scarce which is an autofind
Jerrick Kamris: why stop at infantry
i got good rep with the IG
let’s get some storm troopers
Rogue Trader GM (GM): -10 for medium armament, -10 for modern equipped-
Mordecai: storm troopers might be good given the whole paternova thing
Rogue Trader GM (GM): elite is -30 on top of that for storm troopers
Jerrick Kamris: does my good rep help
Rogue Trader GM (GM): and you want a regiment- PROBABLY
so -10
-60 PF test
Kel’mara does not get a house edge on this world
because he’s a filthy xenos
but +2 for Jerrick’s good rep

Jerrick Kamris: kawaii
Mandala Sigyn: Right, I need to speak to them about that
also, I’m being called away temporarily
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Alright
Mandala Sigyn: back
sorry
Rogue Trader GM (GM): You have bought a miniature army
Mandala Sigyn: yes I have
next I want food
lots of food
very good food
Jerrick Kamris: better make sure the augurs are working properly to test for poison
Mordecai: i’m a gr8 chymist i can help with that
Rogue Trader GM (GM): Good food is pretty easy to get at your pf
it’s

unless you want apples
in which case you must hit up Barrow
Jerrick Kamris: though barrow really only has the one
oh you could get a gardener to plant the seeds here
and grow terra’s only apple orchard
Mandala Sigyn: if Barrow would allow that, sure
why not
Rogue Trader GM (GM): MISSBARROW
Captain N. Barrow: Oh
Jerrick Kamris: oh captain my captain
Captain N. Barrow: Yes
Make Terra an apple orchard.
Mandala Sigyn: it shall be done
the orchard shall be heavily guarded and tended to
Rogue Trader GM (GM): by storm troopers
Captain N. Barrow: It had better be!
Rogue Trader GM (GM): excellent
getting late for me
guess we better call it
